Sometimes a film score comes along from a film you know very little about and you take a chance on a minute or so of samples. Then you get to play it and you are so pleased you made the right decision. Such is the case with ROCKET GIBRALTAR. Thanks Intrada. This makes me so happy Cody! This was the response I was hoping we’d get. People, just take a chance with this. This is such a hidden gem. I always believed in the music and thought if we could get it out, people would be pleasantly surprised and happy.

Thank you Bryon! Also, happy to see this as the number 5th best seller on Screen Archives website as of tonight 10:24PM (PST). Why does Peter keep pushing this soundtrack? He must be making money from it so the more they sell the more he gets. NOPE! Not making a dime and this release has costed Edwin and I a lot of money. It was well worth it to get it out there as it was my dream. My goal is others will discover it like Cody did and enjoy it for years to come. That's it!

Once again I am enjoying this score with numerous playings. I am going to ask you a question Peter which you may not feel comfortable answering. I will understand. Before our good friends at Intrada thankfully took up this project did you try to get your previous bosses at Varese interested in releasing it. Hey Cody, Great question. I did try with Varese, but in the end they were not interested. Also, as everyone knows, we were bought which added several layers of complicity and questions like, are we all still employed, are we moving offices again, etc etc. I’m so glad Intrada took a chance with this as this is a rather obscure film from a composer most of us know only one score, Ladyhawke. THOSE like you and many others who have taken the risk of buying it are pretty much in unison with a “so glad I bought this.” Cody, do I know you from Facebook? Email me from my profile please.

Email me from my profile please.eonardmaltin.com Peter, I'm really not into Facebook with anyone. You know me as the chronic complainer as to how the people who took over Varese from the original owners abandoned scores from the golden and silver age. You did explain their thinking and kind of understand reluctantly. I know ROCKET GIBRALTAR is 1988 but it has got one of the most beautiful main themes which reminds me of earlier times and then it proceeds into a more " bouncy" 80's style. I am definitely no music expert, but I do know it is wonderfully addicting. Congratulations and I hope it sells out and Intrada releases it again in the future. PP
