I respectfully disagree. I think it can be very beautiful and moving.
If we're going the GOOD/BAD/UGLY route, I'd add Elfman's martian lounge music from MARS ATTACKS!–solid pastiche of the genre and a raucous homage to Morricone to boot. And I'd be remiss if I didn't add the pair of wailing ladies that slide in and out throughout the end credits.
