I'm not sure I could mention just five (but then, neither did the OP ) There are three tracks on The Eiger Sanction alone, and two tracks on The Witches of Eastwick, which I'd put in my top five, but that doesn't leave room for Anderton's Great Escape, the main title from Earthquake or the rousing theme from The Cowboys. So I'm not going to try. Which tracks from THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK and THE EIGER SANCTION? Name them, please. If I were Konga I would pick from Witches the Tennis Game and from Eiger would be Fifty Miles of Desert Hey don't laugh but one track from Eiger The Icy Assent makes me want to find a throaty French Chanteuse sing some French lyrics to it.

From The Eiger Sanction, the music that plays over the mysterious thriller main title sequence, and a variation of it, much slower, that was covered on a Geoff Love album, together with one of the Training with George tracks. The track titles escape me at the moment. From WoE, the swirling main theme of a demonic dance and the Ballroom Scene.

Damn I had a lengthy post outlining my choices and the reasons for such but my computer logged me out and I lost the whole thing! I'll keep it short because I'm not writing all that again. (In no order) JP-Journey to the Island: My first experience hearing Williams in a theater as a young, impressionable lad. This sequence started my passion for film music. Indy TLC-Father's Study: I love Wrong Choice/Right Choice but the beautiful rendition of the grail theme in this cue always grabs me. ESB-End Credits: The way the major key variant of Vader's Theme segues into the Rebel Fanfare at the end is fantastically regal and the way all SW end credits should end (IMO). Empire of the Sun-Return to the City: Perfectly captures innocence lost, especially the pull and push of the strings, the longing oboe, and the tinkling Chopin in the background--not an easy cue to listen to but the layers of meaning are thought-provoking and also, I just love really sad music. Raiders-Map Room: Dawn: The religious themes from the Indy films are some of my favorite themes in film. They elevate corny adventure movies with their very serious and, dare I say, classical orchestration. The Map Room scene is great but at least half of that greatness is attributed to the Maestro. I've come to the realization that I need to branch out beyond the Spielberg/Lucas films to gain a greater appreciation. I just recently purchased The Fury--I think it's time to give it a serious listen.
