I Love You To Death - James Horner - for the first?

As much as I'd love it to be this, I Love You To Death is hardly a family adventure.

Where's your sense of humour?!

The story about a wife that tries to kill her husband in every possible way... to no avail. I'd call that a family adventure. :-)

The Witches would be nice!
Just please, no more Richard Band cheap synth trash..

I don't think "The Witches" matches the "You may not have ever heard of it" part of the clue - there's an entire generation of people who know that film.

"Courage Mountain" is a great guess. This is one of Levay's symphonic scores, as I recall.

Richard Band's "Remote" fits, and it's a charming little score if you enjoy Band's Full Moon/Moonbeam years.

There's also Bruce Broughton's 1992 television score "O Pioneers!"

The only reason I’ve heard of it is because I frequently browse Muppet Wiki (arguably the greatest wiki ever conceived)!

Intrada released that at the time, so it could not be a "premiere release."

Ah, thanks for the correction. And to think, I call myself a Broughton fan wink

Maybe it's lesser-known than I realize, but as somebody who was born in the 1980s, most of my peers in grade school had caught it on the Disney Channel, where it played quite often. Even as an adult I still meet people who remember "The Witches," which many still remember as being particularly scary for a family film (not unlike "Return to Oz").

I think if I had to make a final guess it'd be Richard Band's "Remote."

Possibly The Sandlot by David Newman

I stand corrected by myself, the sandlot was released with War of the Roses by Varese

And again in full last month on La La Land.

That's got to be some kind of a record MV. Between you releasing Star Trek V and Intrada releasing it later, this is the quickest transition I've seen yet.

Good job! ??

Could the family adventure be Alaska? I know it was one Doug Fake liked back in the day, and Varese had announced a CD that was never actually released (though since it was 1996, I guess that rules out "early" 90s. Oh well).

ALASKA - what a fabulous family oriented adventure. Such a bummer it didn't do well. Who was the composer? I can't recall ...

Thanks Schiffy that's good news.

sorry the last few weeks I've been taking care of my late Fsather's affairs and clearing out his home in the UK and have been somewhat disconnected...

I wonder if the narration from the Lone Ranger LP will be included on this Intrada version? If they could only find the LP master then perhaps we're stuck with it. We'll see.

I suspect Roger would have mentioned it if it was possible to remove. When Intrada released the similarly UMG-owned LP of Rosenman's 9/30/55, they weren't able to remove the dialogue.

On the other hand, when Intrada premiered Goldsmith's album recording of Patton on CD, they were indeed able to find the final track without Patton's speech overlaid, so may as well keep hoping for the time being, I guess.

Straight reissue of the LP, so yes it'll be there.

I would love a release of Alaska! The music is incredibly lush.
However the film is from 1996, so it sadly doesnt fit the early 90's criteria.

As a side note, I think I remember a listing from my local Sam Goody back in the day that Varese was slated to release an album, but never happened.

Can anyone recall if they also saw or heard of such intention?
