I wonder if Arnold was trying to throw people off by mentioning that TND was coming (though I have no doubt that one's in the pipeline too).
Or maybe...just MAYBE...both were in the works, and Arnold thought TND was coming first? And that would mean TND isn't far behind??!!! Probably wishful thinking but hey it's Christmas!
Come to think of it...that makes TWINE the more appropriate choice for the holidays given Denise Richards' horrible name, "Christmas Jones"
LLL missed a trick there, they should have said "Christmas comes early this year!"
Great they included the great Garbage song. Is the Walker track good also?
After being turned down by Madonna, I’m glad Shirley said yes!
OMTB isn’t my favorite as sung by Walker. His crooning style is a bit much. It’s not a bad tune though. It’s based on Elektra’s theme. The version sung by Arnold might be better.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH limited edition 2-CD set retails at $29.98 and is exclusively available at www.lalalandrecords.com, 007store.com, and other online soundtrack boutiques.
Attention all Brits: 007store.com is based in the UK. Depending on the price they charge for TWINE, this may solve our problems of expensive shipping that Die Another Day cost us last year, thanks to USPS.
007store currently have LLL's Die Another Day in stock for £19.99, shipping £2.50. We shall see what transpires!
So excited to hear this complete score on disc! I can't decide if it's my favorite David Arnold Bond score, but it certainly is up there with TND, trading the top spot back and forth. Arnold does great work incorporating both the title tune and Electra's theme throughout the score and his ending Submarine action cues are some his best, the brass writing is dizzying.
This is a great purchase for those who do not own the original album but the latter is a actually a very good representation of the score so i will stick with that.Unlike the 2 CD set of Die Another Day which was badly in need of expansion which i purchased almost immediately.

MV...you and I need to turn this into a drinking game. I’m buying.

I do not hope there are cross fade effects here - Neil S. Bulk have A tendency to use Those
[reads track list on new album]
2. Submarine #1 4:11 3. Submarine #2** 6:26
Two cues that on the original album were combined with [checks notes] a crossfade! It's like you don't even know me, man!
Neil
I'm a little confused as to the meaning of the term "crossfade". Does that mean "Submarine 1" and "2" are going to seamlessly transition, a la "Show Me the Money" and "Come in 007, Your Time Is Up"?

Or does it have a whole different meaning?
No, in this case "Submarine #1" has a clean ending and "Submarine #2" opens with previously unreleased music, which didn't sound good when combined so I kept them separate. For those that prefer the album version, it's included as disc 2, track 16.
Placing a separate index is what was done for "Show Me The Money" and "Come In 007, Your Time Is Up". But here's the dirty little secret about those cues. It's really two separate cues that were combined with......a crossfade! And then we just indexed them to match the original album.
