Hoping for My Bodyguard and Absence of Malice (And Justice For All would be a nice cherry on top). My Bodyguard has been a LONG time coming and it's a top 10 grail for me. That would make me so happy I may order a few extras out of giddiness and give them away to a few people here
What I find funny about this thread is how immutable we've all become here.
Justin Boggan wonders if there's a rejected score.
Basil Wrathbone dismisses it before knowing the contents.
Last Child hopes for television.
haineshisway assumes they're profiting off of his work.
drivingmissdaisy cheerfully deflects it all.
And SchiffyM condescendingly lectures everybody here.
The only things left would be for Thor to hope they're incomplete, Mr. Marshall to report on what Grusin he's seen in the used bins, First Breath to wish for synths, and Yavar Moradi to hope that at least one of the Grusins is a Goldsmith!
Given all us lemons, Schiffy attempts to make lemonade, I guess. But Marshall was the fan who stridently wished for TV scores. And I don't prefer one medium over the other. In this case, that's what I'd want by Grusin.

one of the best post I've seen on the FSM Board in a long while.
As far as I'mi concerned, there just isn't enough Dave Grusin Soundtracks i the world.
If I had one hope I would hope it was Absence of Malice, not a very long score, but there are some really nice bits in it.
I've wanted this score since 1981, fingers are crossed.
It could be one disc with three scores plus two discs with one expanded score. Or two scores on two discs with another two scores on a third disc. Or it might be one very big score on three discs with three very short scores on the third disc. But my bet is one score on one disc and three more scores on the other two. I suppose it could also be two scores spread over the three discs, with two very short scores taking up some remaining room on disc three. Whichever combination, I have absolutely no interest in buying it.
Given you haven't a clue about the contents that isn't exactly the most well informed opinion.

Ford A. Thaxton
I assume you didn't see the yellow face with a smile and a wink on it, at the top of my post. My post was poking fun at the ludicrous guesses about the makeup of the discs.

You forgot Marcato bitching about "crossfades."
And Kim Peterson bitching about sleeves or digipacks. Or basically about Varese in general. Surprised Locotus hasn't said anything negative either.
Yes...so people if this isn't a great treat and pushes VARESE to the top releaser this year I don't know what you guys can soothe you.
First DRACULA and now 4 ! Gruisins!!
