"Krystina" By: Angela Morley https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gjkfr Highlights: 10:13 in. 20:35 in. 23:20 in. 25:08 in.* 27:50 in. 28:53 in.* 31:41 in. 34:32 in. 37:57 in. Joining a cue already in progress. * = Including "Blues for Alexis" which was later re-recorded and expanded for a CD of re-recordings of Morley's: http://www.angelamorley.com/site/filmandtv.htm (2300) "Swept Away" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gjkft Highlights: 1:47 in. 4:43 in. 20:35 in. 23:38 in. 30:19 in. 32:03 in. 34:17 in. 36:00 in. 41:30 in. The dining restaurant source music. On a set of season five scoring, I'd not sure I'd take many cues from this episode score. "That Holiday Spirit" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6glba0 Highlights: 1:48 in. 5:40 in. 6:52 in. 8:35 in. 15:09 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 17:49 in. 22:48 in. 27:29 in. 29:18 in. 33:37 in. 35:23 in. Christmas classic in orchestral form. (1715) "The Avenger" By: Lance Rubin https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz5lh (in German) Highlights: 1:43 in. 8:31 in. 16:00 in. 32:05 in. 41:58 in. The party source music. "The Will" By: Peter T. "The Treasure" By: Artie Kane https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6glbe6 Highlights: 1:48 in. 5:16 in. Joining a cue already in progress. More along the lines of something that you might hear if Dan Tanna made a cameo. 11:29 in. 20:00 in. 43:54 in. Season five has really gone off the rails; the show isn't what it used to be. "Foreign Relations" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gmz1e This is Lanzarone's final effort for the series. Highlights: 1:47 in. 7:16 in. 25:46 in. 35:31 in. 37:10 in. For a lady who claimed to love her husband more than he could ever know, Krystal sure falls for guys all the time. Every. Single. Season. "Triangles" By: Angela Morley https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz5ll (in German) Highlights: 1:45 in. Fluffy dog walking music. 7:24 in. 10:36 in.* 13:45 in.* 1637 in.??? 16:15 in. Whoa-ho-ho-ho -- I think I saw he wasn't wearing anything! 32:30 in. 38:36 in. Sounds like Morley disguised the "Blues for Alexis" theme here right before the transition to the horse ranch, with the final notes at the horse ranch, still in disguise. * = Also containing theme from "Blues for Alexis". I hope other composers work it in, like one or two others worked in Meyers' theme for the tennis club La Mirage. Now that suddenly Alexis dog is suddenly in every episode. Morley's score was nominated for an Emmy. The other competition that year (1985): "Murder, she Wrote" Episode: "The Murder of Sherlock Holmes" Composer: John Addison (WINNER) "Cagney & Lacey" Episode: "Organized Crime" Composer: Nan Schwartz "Highway to Heaven" Episode: "Thoroughbreds" Composer: David Rose "Miami Vice" Episode: "Evan" Composer: Jan Hammer "St. Elsewhere" Episode: "Fade to White" Composer: J. A. C. Redford Addison deserved the win. Some Emmy nominator must have an impressive collection of unreleased FYC promos! "The Ball" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gn1j7 Highlights: 1:48 in. 18:05 in. 29:23 in. The hotel source music. 30:13 in. 43:30 in. Blake: to Alexis, "Why don't you keep on wondering. At least it'll give you something to do."

Highlights: 1:49 in. 11:21 in. 14:25 in. 20:32 in. 24:25 in. 38:03 in. Anybody else think of the old "Lassie" theme? "Sammy Jo" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gqplu Highlights: 1:47 in. 4:42 in. 8:37 in. 9:48 in. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz6ng (in German) Highlights: 1:45 in. 5:07 in. 13:15 in. 16:58 in. 22:32 in. 23:54 in. 37:36 in. Twenty-nine episodes this season!!! Looks like I will probably finish the series on the 14th (Saturday). Then, like I said, move on to the spinoff "The Colbys".

"The Vigil" By: Richard Markowitz https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gxkw3 Highlights: 1:42 in. 12:34 in. 18:17 in. 19:55 in. 28:14 in. Also contains the La Mirage theme by Meyers. 31:05 in. 38:40 in. Including three plus minutes of fight music. Why in the world is Alexis pecking at Krystal claiming that "after all these years you've managed to destroy him" when Alexis openly said more than once, to Blake's face, she was going to destroy him. Quite frankly the only thing that held this season together was the dupli-Krystal. "The Accident" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gzmz1 Highlights: 1:42 in. 17:00 in. 19:27 in. 26:30 in. 35:47 in. "Souvenirs" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h1k7g Highlights: 1:32 in. About 20:41 in. Including snare drum. 23:08 in. 25:13 in. 38:09 in. "Ben" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h1k7f Highlights: 1:42 in. 8:17 in. "Masquerade" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8ub (in German) Highlights: 1:40 in. 19:40 in. 23:49/27:17/30:03 in. 31:16 in. About 31:50 in. 39:54 in. The party source music and the score cue that immediately follows it. 41:25 in. 43:32 in. The other competition that year: "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" Episode: "We're Off to See the Wizard" Composer: Arthur B. Rubinstein "Miami Vice" Episode: "Bushido" Composer: Jan Hammer "Moonlighting" Episode: "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" Composer: Alf Clausen "The Trial: Part 1" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h3jin Highlights: 1:42 in. 3:19 in. 15:54 in. 21:39 in. 22:48 in. 37:17 in. Davis https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8ud (in German) This is Davis' first effort for the series. "The Vote" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8ue (in German) Highlights: 1:40 in. 10:35 in. 14:26 in. 15:52 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 30:00 in. 34:54 in. 42:55 in. "The Warning" By: John E. Davis https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h3m91 Highlights: 1:39 in. 12:35 in. 13:17 in. 14:40 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 19:50 in. 25:44 in. 29:10 in. Angry car driving music. Angry driving -- never a good thing on this show, always leads to a crash. 35:40 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 45:00 in. "The Cry" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h3jjx Highlights: 1:42 in. 16:40 in. 24:46 in. 34:09 in. 43:15 in. Joining a cue already in progress. Another "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" battle music meets Meyers ending. NO LOAD FOUND. "The Rescue" By: Peter T. Meyers "The Triple-Cross" By: John E. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h6bh Highlights: 26:09 in. Fight music. 36:45 in. 40:15 in. 41:42 in. A sudden edit; I don't know if the load is edited down or that bad edit appeared on TV. 43:27 in. This is the final episode for the character Claudia, but sadly we don't hear Claudia's theme one last time, which especially would have been appropriate for the her final scene. I think the last time we heard the theme was the last time I noted it (so probably about two seasons ago). Alexis: "Oh, I don't want just anything Blake, I want everything." Thirty episodes this season!!!

SEASON 7:
Can't say there is too much difference between the new theme recordings compared to last season. Have a little extra time today, so here's two more. "The Victory" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h5afr Highlights: 1:43 in. Well, La Mirage is burning down, so I guess that means no more La Mirage theme use. 5:08 in. 7:04 in. 14:27 in. 18:15 in. 35:22 in. They actually re-filmed a scene from seasons ago with the new actress playing Fallon instead of using existing footage with Pamela sue Martin; I just find that too much. "Sideswiped" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h7qrh Highlights: 1:32 in. 8:50 in. 14:35 in. 19:58 in. 26:25 in. 30:08 in. 35:15 in. 41:42 in. 43:22 in.

"Focus" By: John E. Davis https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h7qre Highlights: 1:42 in. 4:55 in. 7:00 in. 9:49 in. 11:31 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 18:40 in. 19:50 in. 29:42 in. 32:52 in. 37:59 in. 40:51 in. 44:02 in. That's most of the score. "Reward" By: Peter T. That was some lovely transition stuff there -- wish there was more to that. 35:19 in. About 36:50 in. 40:03 in. "The Arraignment" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8yy (in German) (CORRECT) Highlights: 1:40 in. 5:32 in. The solo piano and violin source music. 17:40 in. 32:54 in. 35:00 in. Only mentioned to drive the anti tone pyramid people nuts. 38:30 in. I realized a couple days ago I can count six distinct themes so far from the series. I am hoping that theme to the transition to the horse race (I think in 5:21) is a new re-occurring theme. "The Mission" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8yz (in German) (CORRECT) Highlights: 1:40 in. 9:20 in. The source music. 16:02 in. 22:38 in. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzap9 (in German) (CORRECT) Highlights: 1:41 in. 18:22 in. 24:11 in. 31:30 in. 38:58 in. 42:30 in. "The Secret" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h92z8 Highlights: 1:40 in. 26:53 in. 30:41 in. 33:42 in. 42:39 in. Joining a cue already in progress. The series had some episode titles repeated and this was one of them. "The Letter" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzae0 (in German) (CORRECT) Highlights: 1:40 in. 12:43 in. 25:55 in. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hawc9 Highlights: 2:46 in. 7:26 in. 34:30 in. 44:33 in. Season after season Alexis is just pissing one person after another off in grand schemes to ultimately want person after person to brutally murder her. I found this interesting bit of trivia on the Trivia page for the show on IMDb: "Joan Collins and John Forsythe did not get along. Ironically, she got on fine with Linda Evans." "A Love Remembered: Part 2" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzapa (in German) Highlights: 1:32 in. 27:59 in. 34:55 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 43:30 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 34:45 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 39:27 in. 42:49 in. "The Mothers" By: Peter T. Joining a cue already in progress. 25:45 in. 30:37 in. 33:27 in. The kid medical drama has been more engaging than the endless stream of surprise brothers, sisters, half-brothers, etc. on the show the passed few seasons. Just one character after another to not give a shit about. "The Garage" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzaqn (in German) Highlights: 1:41 in. 2:44 in. 5:35 in. 18:46 in. Just when you think a composer might be getting bored with a series after seven seasons, he pulls out something like this. 22:13 in. 32:15 in. 38:40 in. Lovely. And the source music (what ever style that is) that immediately follows it. Also, the nice score that immediately follows the source cue. Goes on to the end (for about five minutes). "The Shower" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzaqo (in German) Highlights: 1:37 in. 5:03 in. 13:05 in. 23:18 in. 29:42 in. 32:20/33:30 in. 43:15 in.

Aside from speeding cars being a problem for people on this series, horse riding has also been a problem. 40:37 in. "The Sublet" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzaqs (in German) Highlights: 1:48 in. "The Confession" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6herq1 Highlights: 1:43 in. 24:06 in. "The Affair" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzaqu (in German) Highlights: 1:40 in. 3:46 in. 17:45 in. 18:49 in. "Shadow Play" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hghml Highlights: 1:42 in. One of a few cues containing the Japanese wind instrument the shakuhachi. 5:25 in. 24:30 in. 32:00 in. The wedding source music. 37:20 in. 40:05 in. Yep, some more of that fast angry driving that turns out badly 99% of the time on this show.

SEASON 8:
The re-recordings of the opening/closing theme isn't entirely too different than it's been for the passed three seasons. "The Siege: Part 1" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qzbv2 (in German) I'm not sure what Fallon's abduction by aliens (in the spin-off series "The Colbys") has to do with the previous on opening, but there it is. Continuing SEASON 8:
The budget was obviously slashed before the prior season ended. Episodes have barely any score, the cues are short, and often thin. :-( "The Surrogate: Part 2" By: Peter T. "The Spoiler" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hhx4u Highlights: 35:01 in. So ... the budget slashed for the orchestra, slashed for real flowers, slashed for sets, even slashed the amount of exercise equipment in the exercise room, but there's still a budget to have Alexis' dog? "The Interview" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hjj3c (CORRECT) Highlights: 3:32 in. 9:12/12:13 in. Alexis: "...while taking dictation and God knows what else from him..." SEASON 9:
The opening/closing credits is a little different now, with some small flourishes not previously there, a different trumpet than the previous three of four seasons. It's also about twenty-seconds shorter; the previous seasons had made it longer. "Broken Krystle" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qze2t (in German) Highlights: 0:00 in. 2:55 in. 4:05 in. 5:58 in. 7:35 in. Also contains a "For the guys here". 11:05 in. 19:25 in. 32:00 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 34:04 in. If this episode is any indication, the music budget has been restored. "Body Trouble" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qze2w (in German) Highlights: 1:28 in. 4:40 in. 13:45 in. Damn, those hit clusters in the beginning reminded me of Horner. And the cue after the commercial break. 18:06 in. 32:26 in. 39:20 in. "Alexis in Blunderland" By: Ken Harrison https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hn21u Highlights: 16:03 in. 22:25 in. Hints of "MacGyver". 27:57 in.* 31:30 in. Also hints of "MacGyver". About 40:25 in. Joining a cue already in progress for the romantic music. 43:43 in. * = If ever there was a forced and un-earned fight in the show, this is it. All the other mostly or completely had it coming and it was an "About time!" thing. "Every Picture Tells a Story" By: Dennis McCarthy https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6hn2fi Highlights: 6:06 in. 13:23 in. 18:44 in.* About 32:30 in. * = I had completely forgotten about this big-ass headphones with a retractable antennae. Joining a cue already in progress. 24:41 in. 28:28 in. 39:04 in. 43:05 in. 45:27 in. This is the final episode with Linda Evans (Krystal); she jumped ship four months before the show ended for some reason. Okay, the music budget apparently was short lived, but it's not as bad as it was in season eight. I'm going to have to revise finish date to probably not tomorrow and likely Wednesday.

"Catch 22" (series finale) By: Dennis McCarthy I think season eight and season nine don't needs their own sets but rather a combo set. And that concludes the episodes I could find. Tomorrow I will cover the two-part mini series that tried to revive the series. And make some comments on the remake series, then start "The Colbys" in a separate thread.

MINISERIES:
This was a 1991 two-part miniseries, an attempt to bring the show back. Not only did a lot of cast members return, including Linda Evans who abandoned the final season before it was done, but Conti's theme is back and both parts were scored by Peter T. Meyers. It was even directed by a series regular director. Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg80UqerhLo Highlights: 0:00 in. The new recording of Conti's theme (that interesting opening/closing stuff is notably orchestrated differently). And the cue that immediately follows it. 11:04 in. 12:58 in. 28:15 in. 33:50 in. 35:07 in. 43:13 in. 48:10 in. 57:53 in. 1:13:37 in. 1:21:58/1:23:26 in. 1:24:45 in. For the guys here: 1:00:50 in. You're welcome. (you might want to linger for about a minute...) Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPMdv-z7gww Highlights: 1:37 in. 7:38 in. 23:47 in. 32:39 in. 46:35 in. 55:40 in. 1:00:55 in. 1:07:50 in. 1:12:00 in. 1:19:38 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 1:22:15 in. 1:25:10 in. And the end credits which follows. So, having heard all version of the theme for the original series, I can safely say my favorites still remain the season one an two opening/closing arrangements.

RE-VISIONING SERIES:
In 2017 a new version of the series came out. I was excited at not only the prospect of the theme returning but who would score it. Finally, news broke that Paul Leonard-Morgan, who provided all that terrific orchestral work on documentary series such as "Galápagos" and "A History of Scotland" (see his website to buy the CD's), was going to score it. I was excited at the news, having heard the works I cited above. Then, however, we got THIS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJqv7kaHRTA And you know how series butcher old TV themes? Well, this series gave us one of the worst butcherings you can find (Conti should dig a grave and roll around in it just for show!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg8Xr-IVVj0 Season two didn't help any: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2zpqnWXSsk Trying to watch show can give you eye cancer and your brain will shrivel up and die. Season three is beginning shortly or already began. ADDITIONAL/UNCREDITED/STOCK MUSIC COMPOSERS:
Culled from ASCAP and BMI. In no special order. NOTE: Some of these could be for the 2017 re-visioning series. Robert Prince. Nick Perito. James L. Hill. John Neufeld. Rocky Moriana and John E. Oliver. (Rocky is also listed separately) Chuck Hoover. (same guy from that one episode of "Barnaby Jones"?) Parmer Fuller. John Peter Smalley. (listed with Markowitz; also listed with Meyers over at BMI; also listed with Mcritchie; and he gets his own separate entry at BMI, too) Brad Warnaar. Alan Broadbent. Hayden. Michael Fratantuno and Terence Graves. Kaelie Highfeld and Nathanael Highfeld. Thomas W. Moss. William Mcauley. Ethan Roberts. Graham Colton and Chad Copelin. John Hawksworth. Luke Dimond and Colton Fisher. Greig McRitchie. Ron Ramin. (obviously with Snow) Charles Fox. Gil Melle. Ryan Buendia. Other Threads I Have Created or Commented in About TV Scores:

Doubling back to some episodes I missed. I don't have the time today to finish all the episodes I missed. Continuing SEASON 1:
"The Honeymoon" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ue0c1 (load is slowed down some) Highlights: 1:51 in. 10:26 in. 14:05 in. 16:13 in. Also featuring Claudia's theme. 35:15 in. 48:06 in. 54:25 in. I still can't find a load of this one (the channel I am using right now, loaded the wrong episode to the video that corresponds to this): "The Chauffeur Tells a Secret" (1.7; when the pilot is broken up into three episodes) By: Peter T. Meyers Concluding SEASON 3:
This is the only episode I missed from this season. "The Plea" (3.1) By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6m9kx5 Highlights: 11:03 in. 12:38 in. 22:49 in. A wonderful build and release to finding Blake, sadly cut off abruptly for the commercial break. About 26:00 in. 34:33 in. 37:57 in. 43:45 in. Concluding SEASON 4:
This is the only episode I missed from this season. "The Engagement" (4.25) By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6nvp9l Highlights: 1:41 in. 3:40 in. 5:55 in. 7:30 in. 8:49 in. 23:42 in. 25:26 in. 30:28 in. 38:08 in. 40:21 in. 41:40 in.

Concluding SEASON 6:
"The Trial: Part 2" By: John E. Davis https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz8ud (in German) This is Davis' first effort for the series. This one is a mystery: I marked it down as "NO LOAD FOUND", but included a link! Well, now I am going back to it. Highlights: 1:42 in. 33:15 in. About 42:00 in. I'm not how much, if anything, I'd include on a set of season six scoring. This is the last one I can do; looking through the user's videos, he doesn't have another of the other missing episodes.
