Easy to see why. ROZSA WAS THE GREATEST.
I thought Rozsa was tied with Max Steiner! 
Sorry ! Steiner was a king, Young was a king, Herrmann was a king, Korngold was a king , Tiomkin was a king. However... the king of kings was Miklos Rozsa.
Of course , I forgot to mention a few other kings like Newman, Raksin , Friedhofer, Williams, Bernstein and Goldsmith.
Rozsa ..... King of Kings ..... you got me there Cody!

After the superb Ben-Hur I'm excited to hear this, especially any cues that were written but not originally recorded for the film (those were some of my favorite bits of the Ben-Hur recording).
Amazing that Tadlow ended up recording all FIVE of Rozsa's epic scores:
EL CID
QUO VADIS?
SODOM AND GOMORRAH
BEN-HUR
KING of KINGS
These will stand as some of the most important film music recordings of all time.

Going by Doug Raynes’ account of the sessions, it sounds like there were only two previously unrecorded cues (I believe they were called “Herod the Great” and “The Madman,” the title of the latter makes it sound like an alternate of “Casting Out the Demon”), of course they could be long cues for all I know. What I’d like to know is whether or not Tadlow will be doing the unused choral parts found on the Treasury set.
And I totally agree with you on the Tadlow recordings being among the most important (have only finally gotten around to purchasing Sodom), though I must confess that I’m quite content with the original recordings for the last two.

I think 90-95% of the original Ben-Hur recording sounds great... but the stuff recorded in Rome sounds just awful. It was great to have stuff like Parade of the Charioteers and Gratus's Entry into Jerusalem in pristine modern audio matching the rest of the score. And the few previously-unrecorded cues I thought were also fantastic.
The King of Kings original recording was done overly "hot" and there is distortion in the louder passages, so overall I'd say it's worse-sounding than the original Ben-Hur recording (apart from the Rome sections, of course). Add in a couple of previously-unrecorded cues, and I'm excited to get this album! I also think it's cool that Tadlow completed the set of five Rozsa epics. That said, I admit that a complete Jungle Book (so much of the score being unreleased, and the original recording released by the Film Music Society sounding rather poor) would have me even more excited.
And a new complete recording of an unreleased and otherwise-lost Rozsa score would have me most excited of all: A Double Life (his second Oscar winner!), The Four Feathers, or Knight Without Armour (his very first score, and a wonderful one) in particular.

Naturally, I'm prejudiced, but I think this is a wonderful recording and am just as anxious to see it released as everyone else!

For me there is one more score which desperatelly should be newly recorded:
Elmer Bernstein - THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
Another one, very nice score which im hope will be rerecorded is
Victor Young - "Samson and Delilah".

The only score I pine for as a Tadlow release is the Jungle Book.
If Tadlow doesn't tackle this, it's highly probable that Intrada will given its current position on their poll for the next Kickstarter recording.

I’m so excited to see this release happen, and I’m excited to see others excited for it as well! I think we went through a great decade of Rozsa renaissance but it has quieted down quite a bit. The release of this fantastic score should really help to bring in some new listeners, I hope. I’m young - but I don’t want to be the only young guy to sing the praises of Rozsa!
Can't help you there Joe, I'm 67. But Rozsa rules. And there are others too.
