The Wrong cue is just the End Credits instead of "Go To Jail"

Thanks David! I guess I don't mind then, I bought the set just for the variants of Goldsmith's main theme which I love.

If you care about getting all the variations on Goldsmith's great Voyager theme, you will also need to pick up this for tracks 34 & 35 on the final disc:

Main Title Demo (1:51)
Music by Jerry Goldsmith

Lookover†/Maiden Voyager† (1:34)
Music by Jay Chattaway
From Star Trek: Voyager #721, “Caretaker”
†Contains “Theme From Star Trek: Voyager”
Composed by Jerry Goldsmith

https://lalalandrecords.com/star-trek-50th-anniversary-collection-musical-rarities-from-across-the-star-trek-universe-limited-edtion-4-cd-set/

That Jay Chattaway cue is a wonderful one where Voyager departs Deep Space Nine, and he adapts Goldsmith's Voyager theme to excellent effect. For some reason it was omitted from the GNP Crescendo album of the pilot score "Caretaker" but it was a heavy fan request that made it onto that fan request box set.

Oh wow! (Right behind Conti?)

Since Goldsmith is my #1 favorite composer, that's great to hear that you're really getting into his music to that degree. You know about www.goldsmithodyssey.com right buddy? wink

No, I didn't know about that, but I can't wait to go through it, thanks! And yes, I love Goldsmith! My collection is really growing, I hope to someday own all his albums. My most recent is MASADA, the 2 disc from Intrada. What a great score, he won an Emmy for that one, I think.

Yavar, I know you don't need me to tell you this, but that is a great site! BTW, today I got Goldsmith's COMA score, the FSM version, and love it!

Hey Henry,

Since Morton Stevens is my favorite Composer, give the second CD of MASADA a listen as well.

Along with Jerry’s fantastic first CD, Mort contributed some fine scoring and also earned an Emmy nomination for Part Four. It also uses Jerry’s themes as a basis for Mort’s own score.

Anyway, enjoy the MASADA set - it is a gem!:-)

Hey buddy! I bought it for the Goldsmith, but yes Stevens music is very good too!

Any hints that we might get a Volume 3? There is still a lot of music that hasn't been released. I am really liking cues from episodes with Naomi Wildman (e.g., "Infinite Regress").

No, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that Lala Land's final word on the Trek TV CD sets will be via one last set with the remaining music from requested episodes from TNG through ENT. There will be VOY scores in this set of course, we'll find out what episodes made the cut.

Seeing this list makes me think of how lucky we are getting this much Star Trek TV music for the past 9 years (I forgot to list the TNG Ron Jones project in 2010). 62 CD's! 62! (not even counting the GNP releases). And we constantly asking for more... and rightfully so because non of the CD's features the music of (insert your favorite unreleased score here). ENT's "Azati Prime" final battle cue in my case...

I never thought that I would get the music of the ST TV shows. I remember sitting in front of my TV, watching a single TOS scene over and over again just to listen to it's music. And now sometimes I stand infront of the TOS collection and can't belive that it's got a release. A complete release.

So.. to everyone involved making these albums: thank you.

With that being said... where's the leftovers set? It was announced early 2017 for probably summer 2018 smile

I am agreement with you guys, in that I will forever be appreciative and in awe of the massive amount of Star Trek TV music we now have on disc. I lean more towards being a TNG/DS9/VOY era fan, so sets like the FSM Ron Jones box and the series-centric sets receive the most play for me, but I am happy for all of it. It's an abundance and every fan should be able to find their own niche within what's been released and find enjoyment.

MV said "hopefully more Trek" for 2021, so I would guess that it will be released before the end of the year. Especially since this is the 55th anniversary! Anything ending in a 5 or a 0 is considered special. smile

This might be a random question, but there used to be a lot of episode specific custom cover, done on the LCARS format, for this and the other Trek CD sets. I think the former startreksoundtracks.com site used to host much of it, but I recall finding these elsewhere, as I really like using the episode specific cover art in iTunes. Does anyone know where I can find these covers again?
