That's putting it mildly. 70-80 new titles in my collection, and I have 30-something left untill I've gone through them all.
And some very rare items, too!
Were you aware, Thor, that the soundtrack for Story of Ilona & Kurti (1991 or 92) consists largely of re-used material ... e,g. tr.1 Ilona's love is taken from Matrimonio Con Vizietto (a.k.a. La Cage aux Folles 3: The Wedding) (1985) tr.2 Castelli di Scozia tr.3 Arival of a strange woman is taken from La cugina (1974) tr.1 La sera, la notte, il giorno etc.
I'm not sure how much (if any) is original to this German film but it's not the only time a Morricone score has been compiled from previous works (e.g. Il Barone (1995)) Mitch

I wasn't, no. But when you say it, it makes sense, because I did sample the LA CAGE AUX FOLLES soundtrack a couple of weeks ago, and I probably heard the theme there first.
I'm aware there's an expanded version, but I'm more than content with my version - two long suites, clocking in at 36 minutes combined.
In fact there’s no expanded version. Perseverance are the same tracks that form the suite just separated and organized in a more or less chronological order (not totally possible because there’s a cross fade in Fighting The Soldiers [the final part being for the first fight with the queen, but missing the crescendo for the beginning of the fight]). The two additional minutes the Perseverance have are apparently a mistake repeating the track Entering The Castle twice. I’d love a complete release of this from better sources or a re-recording of this and it’s sister score Hundra, as both have poor sound (specially Hundra).
”Don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired.” Commando (Expanded Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - James Horner
Mark L Lester’s often hilarious one man army adventure starring Arnold Schwarzenegger was released in theaters 35 years ago today. Despite Horner’s score being cut from the same cloth as his scores for Walter Hill’s action movies around that time it‘s still a lot of fun. The score takes the movie more seriously than the film itself, which is entertaining cheesy 80s fun.
"Pablo, focus up! Just stay behind me. Let the boomstick do the talkin’. Things get hairy, use your bottle." Ash Vs. Evil Dead (Music From The Starz Original Series) - Joseph LoDuca
"Go ahead, make my millennium." Beetlejuice (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Danny Elfman
