In 2018 John Debney scored a film called Brian Banks. Bummer. How cool it had been if Brian Banks had scored it.

I've never noticed until now that the Varese release of KKII was missing the great "Chopping Ice" cue. Unless it's folded in with a different track, but that doesn't seem to be the case via the track times. Most of my soundtracks are in boxes so I can't check at the moment.

La-La Land just released the track titles for Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. Sadly, looks like it's identical to Waxworks' Records release of the score from March of this year on vinyl and digital. I was REALLY hoping La-La Land was going to release the complete film score versions of the score, as they did so superbly for the previous 6 scores. As it stands, looks like the tracks are not all these versions as heard in the film, for example the Main Titles, Jason's Resurrection, Maddy's Death, Prologue, etc. I've heard Waxworks' "complete" score version and those tracks are often quite different from their film version counterparts. La-La Land's release has the exact same number of tracks with the exact same runtimes and the exact same track titles, so I'm expecting this to be an identical release. Such a shame, because I very badly wanted the complete score as heard in the film...

Haven’t heard the waxwork one... I just ordered Friday the 13th from Lalaland. Might have to get Graveyard Shift too.

Such a shame, because I very badly wanted the complete score as heard in the film... I'm assuming you know about Harry Manfredini's Bandcamp page? https://harrymanfredini.bandcamp.com/album/friday-the-13th-part-vii-the-new-blood-complete-score Dunno if that's any different to the physical version. I'm not a fan of the films, although I do like the music. Yes, the Bandcamp score are the film versions - different from the Waxworks/LLL release. But it's got sfx all throughout, so not that great...

Haven’t heard the waxwork one... I just ordered Friday the 13th from BSX. Might have to get Graveyard Shift too. Different in a lot of ways. On the Waxworks/LLL release (as opposed to the film version): -- the opening logo, when the mask splits, doesn't have any ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma -- the prologue is missing a ton of ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma -- the opening titles are missing additional synth overlays between the perc hits -- the score in general is missing Mollin's cool "ha-ha-ha" sound effect -- it's missing Maddy's Death music, which featured a reprise of "Ralph In the Pantry" from Part 1 -- etc. Maybe not a big deal to a lot of casual listeners, but all previous F13 LLL releases were exact complete film version scores. This release is not...it's just a re-release of Waxworks' album, which feels kind of lazy on the part of LLL. Now, LLL are not lazy in general, they're the hardest working dudes in the biz. I'm grateful for all the wonderful F13 music LLL has given us (including the game), so at the end of the day I'm not complaining. I just want people to be aware that this LLL release, while perhaps being some or much of the film versions, is not the complete film version of the score. Some people might not care, but some might, especially after LLL set such a high bar with their previous releases, which were meticulous in their details. To a die-hard F13 score fanatic like me, those little missing touches are important and I'm disappointed they'll be missing from LLL's release, which I was sincerely hoping would be definitive, as their previous F13 releases were.
