I've heard of spoiling the best jokes and the best action, but spoiling the big lesson (y'know, for the kids) in a trailer? I'm getting Wonder Woman 1984 vibes from that.
Looking forward to Giacchino’s score. It’ll be icing on the cake if he adapts both of Elfman’s themes for Tobey’s Spidey and Peter Parker, Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Molina’s Doc Ock, Horner’s theme for Garfield’s Spidey, and Zimmer’s theme for Foxx’s Electro.

If we figure that Strange will be in the movie about as much as Stark and Fury were in the previous two. So I'm guessing we have LOTS of plot not in the trailer.
Look at the Endgame trailers. Or for that matter the Far From Home trailers. They looked like there was lots in it but it turned out there wasn't.
For some weird reason I was lukewarm on both his scores for the Marvel Spider-Man-movies before. I gave them another listen last week - and suddenly I really love them!
I hope the new one will give Giacchino the chance to create new themes AND combine them with his Doctor Strange-themes.

And possibly combine them with The Elfman and Horner themes?! Could it be?!!!!
It would be great to be wrong about this, but this movie looks like a mess from the trailer alone. The dialogue, the story setup, everything here rings worrisome. This might be the straw that breaks the proverbial "camel's back" as far as support I sometimes show this franchise. While it could be fun to see Molina and Dafoe again, the rest of the plot leaks and just what I see in this trailer does not inspire much confidence.
I'm kinda weary of the whole "multi-verse" or "alternate universe" plotlines being rolled out in DC, Marvel and other filmed properties. It just seems to lead to the same dramatic cheats in every scenario - you can "kill" a beloved character to garner a brief emotional beat and you can also push multiple nostalgia buttons for aging fans by hiring actors from previous installments.
It's definitely a bad nostalgia move. It'll work for them, the film should be a box office smash, but it reeks of laziness on both Sony and Marvel's behalf.
