Happy for those who have been waiting for this release, it’s probably me, however, the music from the YouTube clips posted here are very uninspiring.

You have to be into early-70s introspective minor-key black-consciousness grooves.

Fabulosa! I have been hoping for this release ever since I saw the film on its first release. Well done, once again Intrada!

Amazeballs!

I've been surviving off a DVD rip for eons and apart from the lackidasical main theme there's some terrific suspense and action tracks, the latter reminiscent of Escape from the Planet of the Apes with groovy use of the the tabla.

Way to go Intrada.

My absolute favorite scene from Burt. This is such a classic scene as anyone who's ever 'partied' can tell you. Great stuff. I was stuck on stand-by for five days at Torrejón AFB when this came out. They had only one theater and a film would run non-stop for a week at a time. Saw it five times. Only Burt could have pulled off this scene as hilariously as he did.

The music's great too.

So excited for this! Many years ago (maybe as far back as the 1990s) I asked Sony about it. They looked for the tapes and I remember told me on the phone, "Yup, right here...Shamus...1975...Richard Shores." They could only find the busted TV-movie pilot (starring Rod Taylor)! So I am thrilled they evidently found the Goldsmith score for Intrada (or somebody did), can't wait to hear it!

On the flipside of the coin (... or shall we say this Goldsmith bottlecap), LK's little anecdote here can be irksome.

Sony verified the existence of master tapes from the 1975 TV-Movie Shamus ... over 20 years ago.
Yet this "Shamus" was never released onto disc, remains unavailable and is likely on its one-way journey into oblivion - all because Richard Shores is NOT Jerry Goldsmith.

How many master tapes are 'out there' that remain untapped due to perceived fiscal infeasibility?

SHAME (on) US.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of scores that are unreleased because there simply isn't the demand or capacity to release them. Sorry, but it's just reality!

Here's the opening scene with JG's main title cue. Dig this.

2:10 when he takes one half hearted pull at the exercise machine made me snort my drink.

Exactly, the labels aren't morally obligated to simply release anything and everything for which there exist master tapes. To spend tens of thousands on producing one album because 12 fans might buy it is ludicrous.
