The only thing I felt mildly amusing in that trailer was the very end, where they are in some kind of self-referential Uncanny Valley Land. That was a somewhat interesting idea.
But mostly I'm completely mystified why the iconic Chip 'n' Dale are suddenly no longer speaking like... chipmunks? Did they talk like normal humans in the TV series and I just don't remember? (I'm more familiar with their original theatrical shorts with Donald Duck and such...)
Thank goodness the DuckTales movie was made when film versions of TV shows where exactly that and didn't feel the need to be clever (I'm looking at you, Nora Ephron's 102-minute urination on Bewitched)?

Disney did the same thing with Huey, Louie and Dewey in the new DuckTales - they just talk regular not in the old ducky voices.
Personally I for one am grateful they have dispensed with the stylized voices (though I don't care about this one one way or another). Though I love the old Scrooge McDuck comics, I can barely tolerate the old show because of those voices. So they must be doing this for me!
An interesting concept—poking fun in a very meta way at the development of animation over the past however many years and more recent movie trends like reboots—but I agree with others that, apart maybe from the Indiana Jones bit, this was all terribly unfunny. The intended audience definitely appears to be jaded adults, but if there's any real humor in this they're doing a good job of hiding it.
I'm puzzled about this, too. For a movie aimed at kids, the plot & approach seems just... odd, to say the least. Probably to much to ask to expand the formula from the TV show into a feature lenght fun adventure movie or something. xD

Quite. At least, the score has the potential for fun.
