Thanks Leigh for your committment with this new Jerry Goldsmith premiere re-recordings Kickstarter series. Your BLACK PATCH/THE MAN was terrific. I am especially listening to THE MAN on a daily basis! No kidding! For this General Electric "The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky" thing, I am in too, of course. What else... I listened to the thing: it strongly forcasted QB VII and THE GOING UP OF DAVID LEV ethnic music ideas for sure. Same style. Keep go on with these kickstarters campaigns, they are great... Hope you may consider to reconstruct PURSUIT (1972) with friends at Intrada some times later. I bet this would be a winner. Thank you, Thierry! I also hope we will be able to continue running a few more of these mini-kickstarters! As far as reconstructing further scores for Intrada - I’m happy to do whatever they send next (Pursuit would be great, but my personal choice would be “The Chairman”)

Hi Leigh thanks backed it hope we reach the goal to record all the pieces you have in mind Andreas Thanks, Andy! And huge thanks to all who've contributed thus far - we're currently on 78%! It maybe a touch premature, but I've already calculated the cost for a potential Stretch Goal - recording the score for "Sarah's Laughter" in another half-session (on the same day). This is in interesting one as no audio exists, but we have the charts...and reading through it, I can say that it's quite beautiful...a gentle and melodic Goldsmith Americana score. But, one thing at a time!!

Wait until you hear the whole score, rjc — there’s more wonderful variety than you might expect for such a brief work. We’ll be sharing our full music rip of the episode, shortly… At 35% now… incredible. Yavar Looking forward to it, Yavar. I haven't been able to catch all of the podcasts you guys have done, but those I have I've really enjoyed. I'm biased, in that I think Goldsmith is one of the most vital composers of the 20th century, but what impresses me most about this proposed Kickstarter is the relative obscurity of the music, even for Goldsmith, and yet here we are, a chance for a new recording, possibly more. That's pretty cool.

Just to be clear Henry, that 8+ minute YouTube share of David’s is the complete score, with the cues all pretty smoothly edited together. If you are referring to the second cue within the video (which starts around the 56 second mark I think), I’m right there with you. One of my favorite cues in the score; just magical! Some of my other favorite music in the score starts around 3:02. Yavar

OK - I'm in for the top slot. While I did go to Prague for the 3-day KING OF KINGS score recording, I don't think I'll be able to just "happen" to be in Prague for the two-hour recording session date (much as I would like to). Maybe if they did a bunch of them all in one or two days......... But, hey, I'll be retiring at the end of May when I turn 73, so you never know. At a minimum, at least I'll be able to watch the recording session live and see that great team in action again. And, like Yavar, I'm hoping that, one-by-one, our group of Goldsmith fans can get 4 or more scores recorded, so that a CD can become a reality. I'm not a part of the "no CD, no sale" crowd, but (at my age) I do struggle (and with dogged and dutiful persistence do succeed) with the digital domain, which I then insist on putting on a CDR so I can play it in the car. Best wishes to to you, Leigh, as we start on a new path together. By the way, the mention of Prague reminded me. Although I have an Italian-sounding name, my heritage is 100% Ukrainian and I am so grateful for the generosity shown by the Eastern European countries in helping the now millions of Ukrainian refugees. Never knew that, Ron! I’m 25% Ukrainian (my maternal grandfather David Piatak who sadly passed away a few years ago, but he played a big role in my getting into music). Yavar

What's relevant is near the end, a piece of additional, non-Orlovsky music you won't (yet) hear anywhere else, and that as far as we know, no one's heard since 1959! It's really nice, too. Yeah I encourage everyone to check this out and hear a full cue Leigh reconstructed of an earlier Goldsmith Americana score for the series. It's really been growing on me and I can't wait to hear it performed by real instruments, and hear the rest of the score too. Now that the initial goal has been reached to record the wonderful "Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky"... save your extra $$$ for the stretch goal, folks -- it's coming soon and we'll want to make it happen, too! (Remember, for a CD edition of Goldsmith's General Electric Theater work to make sense, at least four scores need to be recorded.) Yavar

This is a great idea and I've backed it. I'm only in at the Tier 1 level, because funds are limited. However I will back each and every similar project in the same manner. I look forward to a steady stream of Goldsmith CDs and any other soundtrack CDs that come along be it Rozsa, Kaper, Newman, Williams, Goodwin.... I think you get the picture.
