Another question, do they send email confirmations and ship 24 hours a day or just the regular 8 hour work period?
When you place an order- they will send you a confirmation if the item is in stock etc and then mail it to you- everything is superbly communicated.
I placed an order on Saturday and got an order confirmation right away but still have not received an in stock email yet, should I get one if it's in stock or not?
I haven’t ordered since they updated their site. But they normally reply within 48 hours if what you ordered is sold out. Others may have more knowledge then I.

Thanks for this response chris, hopefully I'll hear from them on Monday!

As Saul mentioned a few posts ago, Japan is coming out of a week-long national holiday called “Golden Week.” This would explain why they haven’t responded to you yet, so no need to worry.
I’ve been a customer with Ark Square since the late 90’s- in fact, I made my very first international order with them when I was living in Australia! Needless to say it was a perfect experience (FYI: the cd was Joe Hisaishi’s PORCO ROSSO)
In 2003 I moved (permanently!) to Japan and have been using them ever since. They’ve helped me find super rare items and even kindly held items for me that had rapidly sold out during the limited edition craze pre-global financial crisis.
I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with their service!
Just give them a bit of time and I’m sure they’ll sort out your order soon.
Another Ark Square fan. They helped me build my Hisaishi collection, and last night I just happened to catch an all-Hisaishi concert in Seoul. Joe wasn't there, but it was wonderful hearing all those melodies live!

Thank you for your response Alain! They do have a lot of great hard to find titles and it is a real cool site.
I like to use them from time to time and their service and stock is excellent. However, I've had to put them on hold lately, as they have suspended their usual mailing option for either a more expensive Fed-Ex deal or a really slow shipping option. I too hope that their normal service resumes asap.
Talk about good service, I received my order already and didn't even know it shipped, thanks Ark Square I look forward to doing business with you again!
I haven't ordered from them for a while now, but I remember getting Japanese editions of The Omen and La Califfa from them, and being very satisfied with the service.
I think my most recent order was for some budget Japanese releases of Airport and The Ipcress File., a few years ago.
(Having also owned the previous Japanese release of The Ipcress File.)
Many items listed are in fact not in stock...So you order 5 CDs and only one is shipped..
In the past, I had no complaints, but recently this has been my experience with them, albeit when ordering one CD at a time. Otherwise when items are in stock, expedient with an excellent shipping price.
