I wonder if Intrada or SAE will carry it?

Playing the CDs now (each runs a little over 40 mins, for a 87 min total).
It's unlikely to win over any folks who didn't connect with the previous films/scores.
Certain tracks meander and bubble slowly, while the high points are typical JNH, evoking rasping fury and delicate beauty in equal measure, while still playing in that rustic/folk-like idiom of the previous films.
I won't bother seeing the film, as I'd grown bored of the franchise, during the last two films, having enjoyed the first two.
I was relieved when it finally ended.
This one, at 2hrs 40 mins, is just too much time for this ageing film goer/watcher and none of the clips or previews have enticed me to give it a whirl.
I'll enjoy playing this 2CD set though and whittling it into a more enjoyable 40-50 minute programme of My Highlights.

I sampled it awhile back, and found it completely uninteresting except for the references to the old themes. And obviously much, much too long - as sadly seems to be JNH's mode of operation these days. I already have those old themes on the Silva compilation of music from the first films -- that will suffice for me, in terms of music for this film series. Ever. As for the films, I kinda liked the first one -- a kind of BATTLE ROYALE "Light" -- but the rest do nothing for me.

The WW2 Netflix series thingie was slightly better, but that -- too -- suffered from loads of uninteresting tracks, and super-excessive presentation. It pissed me off so much I deleted it before I had even finished sampling the whole thing. However, unlike this HUNGER GAMES outing, I might return to that series soundtrack and whittle it when I've calmed down. We'll see.

Although the 3 FANTASTIC BEASTS scores completely won me over, despite the films being complete bore-jobs, I'm afraid this score hasn't had quite the same effect on me.
I did enjoy the scores for the first 3 stories (spread over 4 films) but I can't hear much inspiration from JNH for this prequel series (?).
It rises up a few times in power or fury, in typical JNH fashion, but it doesn't leave behind any new, memorable themes to savour like the first series did.
I thought a revisit, after a period of time and dust settling, might help me hear things anew, but it's as lacklustre (for the most part) as it was on my first play throughs.
I have attempted a whittle, but even that was a struggle (and the question marks on some cues means I'm still not 100% sure they're worth the carry-over to my digitals).

It worked well for me in the film, which was very good (apart from the rushed third act -- this actually SHOULD have been two movies, IMO). But I confess I tried it on album once and it was kinda in one ear and out the other.
