I ordered this. I actually am not familiar with this movie at all despite having grown up in the 1980s and having two older sisters who used to rent this kind of stuff all the time.I’m a huge fan of this composer though so it was a no-brainer.
As much as I love Moroder's music, and with all due respect to him, I don't think he made this score any better. It's good that Giorgio passed this project on to Harold.
Film versions! At long last...and my second favorite Faltermeyer score. This is a completely unexpected treat. Severe appreciation to all those who made this happen! I hope one day to get FLETCH with this sort of care but this OST heroin shot will do quite nicely.
Hello DJS! And what is Faltermeyer's first favorite score?
I don't know about Harold (lol) but FLETCH is #1 for me. BHC 1&2 and FLETCH LIVES were fantastic treats as well but the full score for FLETCH has been at the top of my HF list for almost 40 years.
I'm also waiting for the expanded Fletch. There are not many unexpanded/ unreleased HF scores left: Fatal Beauty, Top Gun and Fletch.
I like Harold Faltermeyer's scores I collect them all But my favorites are Beverly Hills cop, Fletch, and especially Fatal Beauty (still unreleased) which is short but excellent!
This kinda score is right up my alley. When that main theme kicks in Stolen Secrets, I gotta turn up the volume. I’m curious to see the film now. Looks like a cheesy good time.

What about Kuffs? Absolutely Kuffs is also good, but recently I watched the film and did not notice any new material there. It seems to me that almost all the music is on the Milan release of 92.

Love this film. Get it! It does have some cheese but I wouldn't really call it cheesy. The star of the film really is the soundtrack though. It really defines and pioneered the 80's synth youngling DAW users are so desperate to mimic. David Caruso's over the top acting is gold. It's now hard to take John Getz, the husband, seriously as I can't get his performance as Maxwell Potterdam in Men At Work out of my head lol!

I really liked Faltermeyer's love theme in FATAL BEAUTY - another beautiful LOVE theme from HF. As far as I remember in the finished film, it sounds in 3 scenes. In the last scene, this theme sounds more extended and more melancholy.
