I've already preordered the first disc. People who warn about LRG's delays are RIGHT ON THE MONEY (I am still waiting on some games I ordered over a year ago) but I have generally found their CDs to be pretty good, and in many cases, LRG CDs are the ONLY CD release that these games will ever get. In particular, I'm looking forward to Turtles in Time, which has been available on LP for years but not in any accessible digital formats. The first CD should really be a good litmus test of what these are going to look like, since it is for an NES game with about 15-20 minutes of original music, depending on how it is looped. If it's just a straight rip of the widely available music files, that'll cool my ardor a lot. But if it's been remastered, includes remixes, or possibly a better quality version before it was downsampled, that would be huge. I'll report back when I get it, assuming no one beats me to it. And I'm going to get Turtles in Time regardless, because even a mediocre CD release of that score is well worth everyone's time.

I am going to wait for the reviews before pulling the trigger on the 1st one - but will likely get Turtles 4 as well as 2. "PRE-ORDERS CLOSE ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 13, 2023 AT 11:59 PM EASTERN TIME." I could be mistaken, but since these won't actually ship until (at least) 4-5 months after the preorder window closes, I take this to mean that if you don't preorder it, you're outta luck. Yes, they only make what they get ordered. Oh well. They can only have it so many ways.

That's awesome news! It's been a long wait, but finally, Limited Run Games is stepping up and giving us what we've been missing – the soundtracks to those classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games. I can't wait to relive the nostalgia and jam out to those catchy tunes from my gaming past. And it's fantastic that they're offering different formats like CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl, giving fans plenty of options to choose from. I'm especially excited about the special green vinyl pressings – that's going to be a must-have for any TMNT collector! Starting with the NES soundtrack is a brilliant choice, as it holds a special place in the hearts of many Turtles fans. I'm thrilled that they're going all the way back to where it all began in 1989. I totally agree, that NES theme is iconic and has always been a personal favorite of mine too. It's fantastic to see it getting the official release it deserves.

Good eye, Jeyl! Didn't notice BSR had track lists. Well, I knew we weren't looking at a long disc here, but it's indeed like 15 minutes. Not sure if I would have rather been disappointed now or disappointed later. Really sneering at LRG now - though I'm elated they're releasing these TMNT scores on disc...dude, just combine at least 2-3 per disc. C'mon, man. Comparing BSR's list to the gamerip, it would come out to about 11-12 minutes if they follow the industry standard of two loops plus a fade out. Adding extra loops could pad the time out a bit, of course. Looking forward to the subsequent releases, assuming LRG is accurate in promising both home and arcade versions, and using the standard two loops, we get the following rough durations for each: Turtles II/The Arcade Game - 49 tracks, 51 mins. (home and arcade versions) Fall of the Foot Clan - 25 tracks, 18 mins. Turtles III The Manhattan Project - 31 tracks, 27 mins. Back from the Sewers - 38 tracks, 27 mins. Turtles IV/Turtles in Time - 68 tracks, 55 mins.* (home and arcade versions) Radical Rescue - 24 tracks, 15 mins. Hyperstone Heist - 28 tracks, 27 mins.** Tournament Fighters - 86(!) tracks, 97 mins.(!!)*** * I don't think they'll include music from the 2009 "re-shelled" remake, but there are 12 tracks and 43 mins of that ** Most of these are remixes/downsamples of Turtles in Time, with only 2 unique tracks *** I don't know HOW this one is going to work out, since the preview shows all three versions on three different consoles. I guess they're either going to pick two, not loop the music, or make it a 2-CD set?
