In the US, Vinegar Syndrome are releasing 5 Card Stud on Blu-ray, from a 4K scan of the original negatives, but still only mono sound. Looking SAE, there's not many Maurice Jarre CDs in print right now. I saw Red Sun for the first time the other day, not a great western & quite a low key Jarre score, I don't know if it sounds better on its own. I've had the Intrada Night Of The Generals for decades & still listen to it. Other favourites would be: The Life & Times Of Judge Roy Bean (FSM), Grand Prix (FSM) & El Condor (a great Universal France release, a first release for El Condor paired with the album of Villa Rides!).

With La-La Land's penchant for expanding Paramount soundtracks and Milan releases, maybe this could be coming in an expanded version?

Great moment to see this thread bumped as I happen to be just listening to my ever-all-time-so-very-much-favorite suite from 'Les yeux sans visage'. This is such an outstanding piece of music.

I was very happy when Music Box issued the complete 'Weekend à Zuydcoote' some time ago as it proved that more early Jarre might be possible. It's still available at their store so I hope it was not a flop for them. It is easily in my personal top 5 of the MBR releases.

(See my post above from 31 August 2023 for some more suggestions.)

Definitely hope to see more Jarre for his centenary!

Yes MBR seem much more interested in scores from the 80s, either from personal preference or because it sells, but let's hope for LES YEUX SANS VISAGES and more.

We know that many of these 60s scores exist from the partial releases on Universal France series.

Good shout, CindyLover, a CD which one would hope would be a good seller.

Wonderful score and the film is not bad either. Yes please to at least a handful of Jarre scores this year.

Maybe too much to hope for given the studio, but this could make a neat album:

Milan already expanded Ghost with 2 extra score tracks and also released Sunchaser too.

Been trying for years to get a license on this one. As well as Barry's Goodbye Lover. Production company just not interested in licensing either out.

I'll take any opportunity to thank you RF & Intrada for your tireless efforts.
The community certainly appreciates you.

Does this have to do with the Warner Bros. connection, or is Regency the issue?
