It wouldn't be the first time a composer mixed up what label an expansion was coming from. Didn't Carter Burwell say in a video interview that Quartet Records was releasing his expanded Psycho III, or am I misremembering? So Debney probably meant Varese, which would make sense since they probably have perpetuity rights on Sudden Death.
Meanwhile, I remember really enjoying The Last Action Hero in the film and this is likely a significant expansion. So KUDOS LLL and I can't wait to hear the sound clips.

Very odd SUDDEN DEATH expansion CD release story....as John Debney seems so affirmative at saying "my friends at Lalaland..."at 20'20' in the audio interview, without any hesitation...!
"Lalaland" doesn't sound at all like "Varese Sarabande" or "Intrada" or "Quartet" or something...
"Last Action Hero" was given the green-light at the same time as "Mask of Zorro," a title LLL released in December. It took a lot longer to find what was needed for this release, one we'd hoped to have out for the 30th anniversary. I hope everyone enjoys it and can discuss it here without talking about releases we have absolutely nothing to do with.
I just played the 15 minute suite that's on Youtube, and I am IN. A whole score of Kamen balancing kid-drama with rocking out, and rocking out with Buckethead no less (for everyone else here, he's a HIGHLY qualified guitarist (who wears a bucket on his head)).
Stunned that the first few replies weren’t even praising this release! Amer is right.. whats wrong with you folk!! Brilliant news! ….more Michael Kamen…. Thanks LLL.

I also can't wait! I hope that if LLL includes the original score album, it doesn't take away space from the new material. Is there anything unique from that original album?
And “Quartet” doesn’t sound anything like “Intrada”, Thierry, yet Carter Burwell in a video interview some years back stated that Psycho III was coming from Quartet. Slips of the tongue (or just plain old mistakes) can happen even when things don’t sound similar.

I remember really enjoying Last Action Hero as a kid and being totally confused when I later discovered it had been a flop. It’s kind of a perfect popcorn movie and is one of my favorite Schwarzenegger flicks. Very excited for this release!

I too am very interesed in the LAST ACTION HERO Lalaland release, no misunderstanding. Indeed, the SUDDEN DEATH affair has not its place here.... All came in because it had been reported above that John Debney was saying it was coming soon from Lalaland. Not my fault if he any mixed with another label...... End of the story so far.
Excellent news! More Maestro Kamen! When I saw the picture of Father Xmas with a big fat stogie for LaLa’s Black Friday releases I assumed we would see this as one of the titles. Great to see it come out. It will be ordered! Thank you LaLa for more from the much missed Michael Kamen.
Great score! The 1993 soundtrack album contained 41 minutes of music, which is not bad at all. It will be very interesting to find out how much new music in La-La Land release and to see the tracklist! I always really liked how Kamen so coolly combined the guitar with orchestra.
Would really be nice if LLL included all those great rock songs to this expansion. Be kind of a bummer if AC/DC and Megadeth have their most iconic songs left off.
