> The cost will be modest - recording sessions, manufacture, postage - that’s all (guesstimating between 11-15,000. Exact figures will be released when the campaign launches) I think a lot of people here might read that "11-15,000" as U.S. dollars, but knowing you Leigh I'm guessing that's in Euros (or possibly GBP?) > If the campaign exceeds expectations a third score will be added via a low-cost stretch goal I'm a little surprised nobody has reacted to this yet... would anyone care to guess/speculate about what the third Goldsmith premiere could be, if stretch goal is met? Oh man, I am so in. Pursuit, the first and only unreleased Goldsmith/Crichton. Crichton's source novel, Binary, is quite good too. Interesting that you bring up the different title, which was also the original title of the film! Thanks to our helpful friends at Neumation Music, we actually DO have access in written form to the opening cue of the score, "Meet Mr. Wright" (it's not a Main Title; fans of the score will already know that this first original Goldsmith cue doesn't actually show up until almost a quarter hour into the movie.) And it wasn't filed under "Pursuit" where they found it, but labeled as "Binary"! Unfortunately at the present time we only have that one cue as written music, so unless the remainder can be located Leigh may have to reconstruct the rest by ear just like Crawlspace. But even having one cue is great because it gives us the instrumental lineup. Also we have Jon Burlingame to thank for providing a cue sheet for the film, so even if Leigh has to reconstruct by ear we will at least have Jerry's original cue titles for the full score, unlike Crawlspace. Yavar Is the one cue the same the one that was recorded by silva screen in the 80s or 90s?

"Indict and Convict" from 1974 is a short score. Good guess! But no… I’m still very hopeful that the original tracks for that can be found in the Universal TV vaults (now that they seem to be opening up to the labels) and released. But you’re on the right track in thinking TV movie. Is the one cue the same the one that was recorded by silva screen in the 80s or 90s? Also a good guess, but despite Silva calling that re-recorded track “Main Theme” (if I recall correctly), that was actually an extended unique arrangement of the theme heard in the End Credits cue of the film. I suspect Silva hired an arranger, handed them the film, and there was no Main Title to be found so they skipped to the End Credits and used that, despite it not being representative of the score as a whole. It’s one of Jerry’s Leviathan-like final cues where the whole tone shifts and there’s new melodic material. The opening cue of the score “Meet Mr. Wright” has no thematic material in common with the end credits or the Silva track based on the theme from it. Yavar

Nice. If it was GBP (like your previous Kickstarter campaigns, because you were originally based in England when you started your account with them) that would mean more USD. Euros don't seem to be too far apart from U.S. dollars right now. Yavar

It looks like a harpsichord Thor.

What a beautiful main title! I love that baroque harpschicord(?), which reminded me of THE LAST RUN -- one of my alltime favourite Goldsmith scores (I've previously done threads on the "baroque jazz melancholy" sound, which is a fav of mine and which THE LAST RUN is an example). I know how much work and hassle there is just to get this tiny piece of music recorded, so kudos to Leigh, Smecky and the Prague musicians for getting it done. Thanks for the kind words, Thor! I'm glad we were able to hit your Goldsmith sweet spot because I know certain aspects of his output don't appeal to you as much. Much of the score is in this vein, and it is the more substantial of the two scores. (Don't fear, action music fans: there are a couple powerful action cues here that you'll enjoy, in addition to all the action in Pursuit.) I agree that this bears some similarities to The Last Run, but it's also its own unique thing which I can't wait for more people to discover. For the third? How about everyone's favorite Snoop Sister's Computer Dating Murder Mystery Comedy Thriller... DO NOT SCOLD, BINDLE OR MASTICATE? It's pretty short I believe. Haha, another decent guess, aside from it being one of my least favorite Goldsmith scores. As a matter of fact, at almost 25 minutes it's nearly as long as Shamus, and longer than either Pursuit or Crawlspace: https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=116974&forumID=1&archive=0 This is one where I really hope the original recording turns up some day, because all the weird acid jazz stuff for the serial killer would be tough to re-create I suspect. No, the stretch goal score in question is another one which mixes jazz with modernism, albeit in quite a different way. Yavar
