The Bluray Book version of DR ZHIVAGO has an exclusive EP CD of Maurice Jarre's score. The CD is a handful of cues and is not a full score cd that came via Rhino.

Also the very rare James Horner scored WW2 Aircraft Aviation documentary : The Horsemen Cometh/Write Your Soul- which had the blu ray of the doc and an exclusive cd featuring the music recorded for it.

The Australian umbrella blu-ray of The Man From Hong Kong comes with the soundtrack CD. Worth every penny.

E.T.20th Anniversary DVD/CD set. In addition to the CD, the DVDs feature the '82 theatrical cut and the '02 cut. The latter cut is still not available in either HD or UHD Blu Rays. The '02 cut also has a live-performance concert audio track.

I was just about to mention that. I got that box in 2002 (I was analyzing E.T. for my thesis, and since I was refunded research material, I decided that I wasn't just going to buy the cheap DVD, but the whole shebang!). But I don't think the CD was exclusive to the set -- it's the 20th anniversary edition that was available elsewhere as well.

I seem to remember FSM offering, or otherwise writing about, the exclusive THE WILD BUNCH CD that came with a DVD release back in the late 90s or early 2000s. Come to think of it, that may actually have been a VHS release!

The Haunting Of Julia (Colin Towns) - Austrailian LE release from Imprint. Was well worth the upcharge and not getting a UHD to get this score. One of my favorite discoveries of the last couple years.

Would buy this as a stand alone CD in a flash.

THE SWIMMER. From the original Columbia LP, not the FSM expanded CD.

There was an 'Exorcist: 25th Anniversary' box-set that includes both the DVD and a CD, produced by the late Nick Redman, which featured the premiere release of Lalo Schifrin's 14-minute rejected score. This was before FSM begin selling that CD alone.

The US DVD release of Little Secrets (2001) included a CD with some of the score by Sam Cardon.

And the limited edition Dutch DVD release of Superman: The Movie also included the soundtrack (16-track version).

Some other Dutch DVD releases with soundtracks CD's included:
- Oorlogswinter (Winter in Wartime) (Pino Donaggio)
- La-La-Land (song album)
- Zwartboek (Black Book) Collector's Edition (Anne Dudley)

I hadn't heard of this release before and am very much intrigued. I'm very curious what those additional 20 minutes of score might be. The actual film recordings? I believe there were some differences between Colin Towns' album versions and the film versions. Is there a tracklist? Colin Towns' original album featured 8 tracks totalling a little over 38 minutes of music. I read somewhere that the Imprint CD has 11 tracks, so is the additional music something we know from the movie or more like additional demos and unused material? I'm also curious about the sound quality of the additional tracks. I wish Imprint would offer more details on this.

That doesn't help much, does it frown

Track 1 Full Ircle (Main Theme) / Julia Steps Into Her New House 5:16
2) Park 5:23
3) Have YOU Got A Magnificent Problem? 2:19
4) Pretty Men Are Very Receptive (The Seance) 3:12
5) Kate 2:46
6) Olivia 4:53
7) Love Scene 3:20
8) Magnus - The Unwelcome Intrusion 3:55
9) Full Circle (Everything's Right Now) 7:15
10) Secrets (Watching / Out Of The Fog / Fuse / Fuse Fall / Midnight Festival Revisited) 17:39
11) Flight 4:56

Sound quality for the entire score is great to my ears.
The theme popped into my head the other day and I couldn't shake it and, since I hadn't listened to it much in this year, and was only introduced to it late last year, I couldn't place what the tune was.

"Haunting" indeed.

Caligula & Messalina
Caligula: The Untold Story

Both of these BRs come with a soundtrack CD.

Not to be confused with the notorious Caligula (1979) with Malcolm McDowell, Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole, and John Gielgud, but all of these movies are filthy, filthy, filthy.
There might be a super-deluxe package with the soundtrack, but none of the other BR versions included the soundtrack.

There is a new cut of Caligula (1979) coming to disk that removes most of the extraneous sex and recuts the movie for story and character. We'll see...
It's also getting a new soundtrack that will come in the 4K pkg.

The DVD of Fanny came with a soundtrack CD - don't remember if the Blu did, too. The First Nudie Musical DVD release came with a soundtrack. The Holiday in Spain Blu-ray contains the Scent of Mystery soundtrack.

Thank you so much! I found the two bonus tracks on YouTube. They don't sound like anything I remember from the movie. I should watch it again one of these days.
I guess the original recordings are still unreleased. I wish we could get them someday. The album is still a great re-recording though. The first two tracks were combined into one originally, otherwise tracks 1-9 are identical to the original album.

I think the old CD also contained some additional material - concert works or who knows?
Maybe that's where the "bonus" tracks come from...
