I'm aware of the film, but never seen it, and had no memory of Burwell doing the score. Burwell is hit/miss to me, but I will always support a premiere, and I'm keen to check it out. Hopefully more than just standard thriller tropes.
When we talk about still unreleased Burwell scores there are two that comes to my mind that I would not mind if those get released someday: Mystery Alaska and Airheads. Airheads is a short score but a fun one.

Mystery Alaska is a breathtaking orchestral score.
Well, since they're not releasing The Spanish Prisoner, I guess I'll have to buy this instead!
Burwell is one of the few composers these days I'm willing to pay for on disc. Even though I don't know this score at all (the samples have convinced me already).
Very pleasant surprise. Definitely want to get this.
The experience was traumatic for Burwell, but - having obtained the score on a *mumble* - I consider The Jackal one of his finest achievements. What I wouldn't give for a legit release.
That score may be an impossible mission to please fans.
You have the original score Burwell did, which is what he would want out. Then you have the film score, which some of it is edited down, up, removed all together, and then another composer came in and added some beats and what not after-the-fact, which I suspect Carter would not really want out (or at least not paired with his original score). Then some label would have to pony up for the same cues again, this time fiddled with interpretations, then you got to decide what you do about edited up cues (like this one really god percussion cue, edited down and almost non existent in the film; it's in my suite at my YouTube channel). It's a hot mess.
Hoping for a CONSPIRACY THEORY expansion some day!
Same. I remember there was the cue that's used twice in the movie and didn't appear on the album (I believe it's when Jerry burns his apartment down and then you hear it again later when Alice is escaping at the farm.) Then there's also the full version of the wheelchair chase, a few parts from the climax, a few variations of Jerry's theme that weren't included... Love that score lol too bad it's from WB (at least I think... Or maybe the whole TVT Soundtrax might cause issues... Or both lol)
But I'm excited for Fear, too. I'll honestly take any Burwell expansions I can get. I don't really remember Fear too much (pretty sure I've only seen it once) but I remember enjoying the score and being bummed there wasn't a release
