Like it or not something is going to happen. And people accept less quality. The pictures that these phones take are a joke but some people have now replaced their camera with this crap. Its like listening to your music through these ear buds. I took the time once to listen to a high end pair of Klipsch and the only thing high end about them was the price tag. And I like Klipsch as you know, owning their $4000 speakers (that is a pair), but I bought them for the rest of my life over 30 years ago. Believe me I understand about quality and I'm not trying to boast how much I know because frankly most of the scientific material went away with the stroke. I had a listening room at one time that an engineer would have been proud of complete with egg cartons glued on the ceiling. But the sound of a new lp was really special and in some ways so much better than the CD. It's like you were sitting in the sweet spot in a concert hall. Computer systems, these surround systems (fine for dvd's), don't come close. The SACD system is really nice but limited and I see it dying out soon. Too expensive. TJ is in the majority of so many people today. Whatever is the best price. Another sad story, the decline of the retail store because of the consumer. I can get it for less at Wal-Mart but thanks for the 20 minutes worth of information so I know which model to buy. The clerks at Wal-Mart don't know anything but you know your stuff.

By the way you can substitute Tower Records for Wal-Mart which died because of the Net. I can remember the days when people actually worked in retail as a career. Yup, cost more but you got proper advice and information. But we had a union which Sol Price got rid of when he bought out FedMart (all CA stuff). So now what retail is left is done by people between jobs, a second or third job, or a young person having their first chance. They know little or nothing. And in all honesty you can't expect PHD answers for minimum wage help from somebody at Best Buy.
