I'm near the start ("C") but all it says is "In process" - ordered 23 Mar (and my credit card hasn't been charged yet).

Ordered from Varese straight away but my order status is still 'in process'. I live on the West Coast so not sure why the delay.

Received mine from Colosseum yesterday. A marvellous score and a marvellous album!

Sound quality is outstanding. Only one Barry cue sounds mysteriously off, "Direct Hit", but overall magnificent.

I hadn't realised the backstory around the replacement of 4 cues at the end, and its a shame the masters for these tracks no longer appear to exist. But great to have them included here in some capacity.

Well worth the wait!!

Varese ships alphabetically?!?

Well then, I should have had mine weeks ago! big grin

I received a shipping notice 4 or 5 days ago.

Hope to get the CDs on tuesday (monday's a holliday where I live: Switzerland).

Why bother to order through Colosseum, I wonder?

It's way more expensive.

Man, the sound on this release is just great! I'm finally getting a chance to listen this evening.

Yeah, the stereo cues do sound great. I was surprised to see comments in the notes about the recording venue! The sound definitely is different than the CTS Bayswater studio.

The revised cues are very much in the style of The Black Hole.

I don't think Varese ships alphabetically...I am a "Z" and got it on Monday. I am loving this Barry release having never heard it before or seen the movie.

The action music is top shelf!

Still haven't received mine and still no status update from Varese. Also no replies to my emails. This is my first time ordering from them so maybe they prioritize returning customers higher. Whatever the reason I'm extremely unimpressed and will likely not order from them again. I should've stuck with my tried and true SAE, despite the fact they were charging $5 more for Hanover St than ordering direct from Varese. This is what I get for trying to save a few bucks! Yee haw!

I think I prefer the revised cues at the end to the original ones. Maybe it's because I know them so well from the film. I especially think the "Finale" revision at the end is better than the other 2 versions.

James

I also like the revised cues, though after a few listen's I think Barry's originals are far more powerful, especially the motorcycle chase and bridge battle.
Sync them up to the film and see what you think. smile

It's a wondrous thing to have. Great stuff! Just makes you want more, though....

I ordered the CD the other day (with ONE LITTLE INDIAN). By chance, they're sending me the DVD off my queue so I'll probably see the film tomorrow night!

My HANOVER STREET order is also still in "In Process".
Why does it take so long to ship them out?

I ordered all 4 of the Varese titles from SAE, and got my despatch email overnight. I checked it this morning, so I don't imagine you will will be waiting much longer.
