Just my little joke. Actually he was always credited as Don S. Davis.

He was great.

Any word on a CD release of Don Davis' opera, "Río De Sangre?" I am really curious to hear what he has been working on for the last couple of years.

No really, where's Don Davis?

Unfortunately his not being active in the film scoring world in big movies, is a result of Hollywood's being allergic towards music talent..

It's been a couple more years...anyone heard a peep? No movies since 2007. No concert works since 2010.

I thought since he fell out of the film score gig he has tried to get back into it but no one will hire him? I think if you leave the film score community you practically screw yourself over.

He is having a concert in Stuttgart, Germany on May 17, 2014. So he is still around.

His last film to date appears to be Return to House on Haunted Hill 2007 and is currently scoring episodes of So You Think You Can Dance 2009. Last film I saw he scored was The Marine in 2006. Can't say it was memorable.

Return To House On Haunted Hill was scored by Frederik Wiedmann

I can't believe the Wachoskis never considered him again.

I would much prefer Davis' score over Giacchino's for the upcoming Jupiter Ascending.

Maybe that was his choice, not theirs. When Speed Racer came out, wasn't he working on Río de Sangre still?

He did demos or actual score for "Speed Racer", but it wasn't used.

I last saw him at the GSPO Varese 35th Anniversary concert. Very nice gentleman who was nice to converse with me.

Bumping this thread because it looks like he's scoring a film this year, a thriller called False Memory Syndrome.

That was reported in January of last year:
