And also this:

4:30-5:30 Behind the Music: Composing for Sci-Fi, Horror, and Fantasy Film & TV— Award-winning composers Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (Heroes)

Woah that's gonna be the most underwhelming talk ever. Heroes, among other failures, had maybe the worst music this side of Desperate Housewives roll eyes

Whats wrong with Desperate Housewives? Granted its not The Simpsons, or Tales from the Crypt, but I like it more than some of Elfmans other TV themes.

not the theme, but, the weekly under score, the horrid plink-plink cutesy-poo music.

sTIL hope that us that can't attend Comic Con will have a chance to place an order

I'd love to have a complete Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, with the film tracks combined with the album rerecording.

Yea, LLL's 5,000 unit release has GOT to be Batman at this point. I really don't get why it couldn't have been unlimited, though.

Well, assuming that it's going to be BATMAN, it should be pointed out that the original release is still in print and available to the public.

http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Original-Motion-Picture-Score/dp/B000002LIM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1278644027&sr=1-1

I'm sure that a deal for another record label to put out a release with MORE music than the original album might upset the lawyers...

Perhaps they would only want to agree to a new album release in limited quantities that would not compete with their original album release in the same marketplace.

This kind of thing is not going to mean much to us, the collectors, but it would mean something to the dealmakers.

Just a thought...

I think MV just volunteered to be the designated place-in-line holder. The rest of us can go enjoy some cocktails until he shines the Bat Signal. Don't worry, MV, I'll smuggle one back in for ya.

What is the likelihood of the 5000 being Batman and the 3000 being Batman: The Animated Series - Volume 2?

Since Warner won't license out any more Animated Batman at the moment, I'd say very unlikely. Besides I would think that La-La would like a mix of titles to be released. Sure, one of them could very well be Batman related but I would think that the other title would be something completely different.

I hope the fans don't ask Elfman stupid questions like "Will you score the Spider-Man reboot?" or "Are you going to work on 'Men in Black 3D'?"

Not trying to blow your cover or anything wink, but your first name wouldn't happen to be Mike, would it? I only ask because I know a Mike Clayton in the San Diego area and I'm wondering if you might be he.

I think it's pretty obvious what one of the releases will be.
