Regarding Krull, we did it for 5 reasons:

1. It was OOP
2. Sony said "Hell Yeah!"
3. The Supertracks one was $40... this version will be $19.98
4. Jeff Bond's new Liner Notes
5. To replace that damn ugly 2 disc clamshell box. UGH! I hated those things for 2 disc sets!

As for the sound, it sounds better, but not it's a great leap in technology. If you have the other version and you have the extra dollars then pick this one up. If you don't have the other one, then buy this Horner masterpiece asap! It's one of his greatest scores EVER!

Hi MV (nice avatar lol) , will you have some signed copies for the july 27 online selling please?

Yes, we will have signed copies of Predators (wish I could say the same for Batman and Krull, but alas...)

MV

MV is this your first Horner release? Just curious and thanks again! cool

First of two this year. smile

This will be my biggest LLL order to date. Though I have the Supertrack Krull set (and paid over 50 Euros for it) I will update to the new and remastered version. Krull is my favorite Horner score. I can't resist.

Amazing! Don't own the Krull 2 CD but will definitely get that as well alongside Predators & Batman. It's a La La homerun!

Need Predators....now...but am cursed to wait !

Depending on cash I may double dip for Krull as well. Looks like more stuff will go to ebay to finance my need for these lol. Also am sure the Elfman fans are going to drool for Bats

Great work, MV

I already have Predators coming from Dark Delicacies, but I will be getting both the other two releases, for sure! I have wanted that expanded Krull for a long time, but haven't been able to find it in my price range! Thanks again LaLa for the fantastic releases.

Can you imagine La-La if you DID have Elfman and/or Horner signed copies. Something tells me your server would most definitely crash. It would be a funny story later on to Dan or Jim, to let them know they crashed your server, he he hee.

I won't say what I want to, because I'll get flamed...

But seeing ALL those stars on disc 1 on Batman, how different are they from the film to album versions? Actually it looks like the entire thing is stared...so were they all different takes? An actual rerecording? What?

I must say, despite all the "oh yeah it's gonna be Batman" I'm surprised it actually is. Still, to see that the album and score are different makes me happy. You better believe I'm getting this one. (Well, me and 4700-odd others I'm sure)

Krull is so good its disgusting. I have friends who rank on Horner, they just outright don't like his music - and yet they have an unabashed love for Star Trek II and Krull. And as well they should, its one of the best scores from the early 80s (no small feat considering you have things like The Empire Strikes Back, The Final Conflict, Heavy Metal...). Its a must buy and I cannot wait to hear the mix on this - always liked the SC version but felt it needed a bit of "punching up" in the mix.

A thousand times thank you, LLL. You're doing good work. Damn good work.

Nice... hoping one of them was Batman & Robin. But Krull is one of my favorites, and nice to see a cheaper re-release with better sound.

When it comes to the * marks on disc one, please keep in mind there is a mountain of stuff that goes on behind the scenes with all of our releases, especially one as big as this AND especially one like this that involves two separate companies and their teams of lawyers. lol. Yes, the mix and edits are very different on most tracks from the film, but some remain the same as they are on the album. We just had to come to some sort of conclusion for publishing sakes. smile

That's what I figured it was. Whatever had to happen for the release to come out! There is a lot of great unreleased music for this score and some of the film mixes are IMO far superior to the album version (ie. the Main Title).

I'm also really looking forward to Batman Returns complete -- are you taking a similar approach to this one? The original album had a rather poor mix.

So the Mozart and Percy Faith source cues were not rerecorded for the movie, but Foster's Beautiful Dreamer was?

Batman Returns had a sizeable amount of music released on the original album. But some small great bits were left out. Elfman was never happy with the mix so you can bet it will be priority.

Everyone is all excited about Krull (Which I am too!), but I am massively pumped for the complete BATMAN! One of my favorite scores! And finally to be able to trash the 5.1 audio unmentionable that I have. I am interested to hear the unreleased music such as the Joker Flies to Gotham which seems to bridge into the Batwing's Approach. I can almost see the deleted scene in the movie of both characters getting there in their respective flying vehicles. This is the one I have been waiting for. I gotta see if anyone is going to comic-con and can flash mail me a copy! I don't want to wait!

I cannot wait to hear the movie version of the Main Titles with the beefed up percussion!
