Gilligan's Island and, after all of the elements have been rounded up, The Wild Wild West.
I mentioned "The Munsters" without doing a search first; turns out it's not part of the archive.
I THINK MCA/Universal has a little say over that. Just because a show aired on CBS, it didn't give CBS Carte Blanche ownership of the show or the music.
How about Goldsmith's scores for "Gunsmoke"? Or even Morton Stevens' scores or the arrangement of the main title that was used starting with the show's 14th season?
I'm interested by the 2 open reel audio tapes (from January 7th & 8th, 1972) on "Something Evil" - music ostensibly credited to Wladimir Selinsky but "contents unidentified"!
THE REIVERS seems like a no-brainer... coupled with the rejected Schifrin score (which I wasn't aware of before).
HAIL, HERO - More Moross is always a good thing!
GILLIGAN'S ISLAND
MANNIX THE WALTONS KOJAK
"The Waltons" is owned by Time Warner. None of the tapes of Goldsmith's scores for "The Waltons" exist, though it's a good chance that the tapes for "The Homecoming" do. Why is "Kojak" part of the archive? I thought the show was owned by Universal.
"The Waltons" is owned by Time Warner, and "Kojak", like "The Munsters" is owned by Universal. None of the tapes of Goldsmith's scores for "The Waltons" exist, though it's a good chance that the tapes for "The Homecoming" do.
Lukas did hint at The Homecoming not too long ago...
James Horner "Rascals and Robbers: The Secret Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn" David Shire "Something for Joey" "Harpy" "Daddy I Don't Like It Like That" Bruce Broughton "Stormin' Home" Craig Safan "Time Stalkers" Lee Holdridge "First Affair" "He's Fired She's Fired" James Di Pasquale "Quarterback Princess" Ken Thorne "The Return of Sherlock Holmes" "White Water Rapids" "My Wicked Wicked Ways...The Legend of Errol Flynn"
Perhaps some of these have been released, I'm not sure. But these are some of the ones I'm most interested in. Specifically the Horner, Shire, Broughton and Safan scores.
I, for one, would LOVE to hear Laurence Rosenthal's score for the acclaimed 1971 nature documentary "The African Elephant." It appears that both the scores and sound recordings are available! The last box of open reel audio tapes mentions a vocal -- hopefully, that means it includes the Golden Globe-nominated song "Rain Falls Anywhere It Wants To," with music by Rosenthal and lyrics by the celebrated Alan and Marilyn Bergman.

Way to go! Horner! Broughton! Safan! Shire! Holdridge! A bunch of composers I would love to see (or hear).
I hope FSM will put together an album of scores from the 5th Season of THE TWILIGHT ZONE (1963/'64)!
Box 1058, items 6 & 8 seem to be one and the same : Lucien Moraweck's "Queen Of The Nile". There's also Rene Garraguenc's "Spur Of The Moment" and "In Praise Of Pip". But the one I really would love to hear is Jeff Alexander's haunting "Come Wander With Me"!
[an album of scores from the 1985/'86 TWILIGHT ZONE would also be nice, with music by Craig Safan, Christopher Young, Basil Poledouris, etc.]
Keep in mind the archives contain masters for some programs that CBS does not own—Gilligan among them.
Keeping that in mind, that would apparently knock out of consideration a substantial portion of the movies and shows from the 1970's onwards in the listing, correct?
