This sounds like an absolutely wonderful CD - based on the clips this is by and far one of my favorite releases of the past year or so. Thank you so much for this, FSM!
Can I just make a quick request to FSM/SAE? Can you release these in batches or at least give us a heads up that another release is imminent? The Big Bus was just released a few days ago. Doubling up on shipping really hurts. Thanks!
If you have Facebook, SAE announced that ethis release (along with Robinson Criusoe on Mars) was imminent sometlime last week.
I believe they said they were coming in the future, with no time table. No big deal, tho.
It sounds that the Main Theme from One Is A Lonely Number is the same theme as the Legrand/Bergman/Bergman song Once You've Been In Love (recorded by Sarah Vaughan in 1972)
I know people are allergic to complaints on this board, but man the sound samples, while great music, are really hard to get a grip on the actual sound quality. I know FSM is /very/; generous (there's actually about 45% of the CD listenable), but the really low bit rate hurts. Maybe FSM could also supple a couple of samples, even 30 seconds as most places do, in 128/44 quality to show off the sound?
Still, this seems like a great disc all around and is certainly on my to-get list.
What I'd really love is a way to play all sound clips, a la Intrada.
If you have the free Winamp media player (http://www.winamp.com/), all you need to do is open the web page for the CD in the browser tab of Winamp. All of the sound clips will appear in a box at the bottom of the page and can then be played with a single click.
I think my first post ever on this board was for Rich and Famous (as well as Marvin Hamlisch's Ordinary People) to be released and I never thought it would ever happen.
This is the holiest grail for me, and I thank FSM for it!
