Never in a million years did I expect to see the Fred Steiner "Code of Honor" score released. That's double damn delicious on its own. Equally lovely: suggested retail price $34.98.

Thanks, fellas!

ordered in a second. what a surprise release this is. would be interesting in seeing what if anything is repeated from the gnp discs (there were 4 volumes, right?) looks to be no overlap with the ron jones box which is great. wow, this show is gonna be well well represented musically. and yet the volume 1 on la la land's release leaves it potentially open for another welcome volume.

and here's hoping this leads to something for enterprise later as well. such a wonderful and overlooked series that was

Didn't FSM release a massive TNG set? Or was that only the Ron Jones material?

Yes, it seems La La Land is doing volume sets of the remaining episodes (still a lot as Jones only contributed to the first four seasons). Nice to see Lukas also represented on this set.

Beyond the Main Titles and Enc Credits..

The only cues that appeared on GNP are 2 cues from "All Good Things"

These were included because

1.) They were from the final episode of the series

2.) Dennis McCarthy really liked them and asked them to be included.

TOS Main Theme Polka Version?

And these Don Davis track titles made me chuckle a bit as well... big grin

Might check this out because of Chattaway.

But I guess it won't sound anything like his signature Maniac Cop / Missing in Action type style. frown

I think LLLR learned something from the FSM TNG set.

The Ron Jones Project is monumental and well deserved, but it is not necessarily affordable for many of us.

It is a daunting purchase, and I doubt it is selling as well as was hoped for FSM.

LLL, however, found a way to do it in affordable chunks of 3 discs, offering great new material at about $35 ea.

As a result, when looking at a monthly soundtrack budget, it is a far easier purchase.

I can afford and justify the spending for this in balance with the rest of my expenses, even knowing that future volumes may add up to more than the Ron Jones Project disc-for-disc or minute-to-minute of music.

Intrada's Battlestar Galactica volumes are also using this approach, and The X-Files strikes a great balance as well.

The Ron Jones Project would be an instant buy for me, if I had those kinds of funds to spend in one hit, and it is absolutely worth every penny FSM is asking for. But I cannot justify the purchase budgetarily.

I've got three words:

CODE OF HONOR! I've recently discovered Fred Steiner and I've wanted this score really, really bad for a year or so now. Thank you La-La-Land!

Aside from that: HAVEN! This has been a favorite of mine for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Love that it looks complete. And "Hide and Q"! Terrific. Not complete, but I never thought any of this would see the light of day!

And I haven't seen "Face of the Enemy" in years. Had no idea Davis scored it. MUST HAVE!

La-La-Land, you guys are helping to make my dreams come true. Literally. I had a dream about this ages ago... though in my dream it had Chattaway's "Scorpion" but that's cool.

I hope with these sets, people will want to get the rest of the music and go for the FSM boxset. It really is a must have if you're a fan of the show and its music. I'm sure the la la sets will look nice alongside the FSM boxset smile

Thank Ford, Mark and Lukas. This is really their labor of love. I'm merely the man who writes checks on this one. smile

MV, any chance of this getting autographed?

We are trying to get a signing event going at Creature Features first Saturday in August. Ron Jones and his box set will be included at this event as well. We are just waiting on confirmation from the composers. Being the summer schedules are always wacky.

Wow, great release! I hope there's some DS9 down the pipe somewhere. I've always liked the music from Season 6/7.
