Would also love if someone posted a high res cd cover but with Poledouris' name removed. On a serious note though very excited to have another Zimmer score surface from my favorite experimental period of his. Ill give Basil's a go as well!

Ahh...Ethan Hawke before he looked like he'd done a ton of meth and ruined his looks.

Wow, if your are going to ask that, can the same person do the same thing but with Zimmer's name removed. On a serious note though very excited to have another Poledouris score surface.

I love the NOVEL.
I love the FILM.
I love the MUSIC.

Hey Mountain Man Dave!

I haven't seen the film, but I just started reading the novel (for the first time!) yesterday in the hopes that this would indeed be released by Intrada today, and voilĂ ! I'm sure it'll make for great background "mood music" while reading the novel. After that, I'll check out the film.

Josh

A very entertaining film. And an excellent Director was onboard. It is NOT widescreen (yet), but the superb cinematography still shines through!

Can somebody do a hi-res cover with Jack London's name removed, and giving Ethan Hawke a single sparkly glove, and changing the Intrada logo to the Tsunami one?

Until somebody does a hi-res scan, these should tide fans of both composers over -

Cool.

Now do one with Eric Roberts' head on Ethan Hawke's body.

Then everyone will be happy.

Hey Eric it was a stab at someone earlier posting to have Zimmer removed. I do like Poledouris but had to defend Zimmer a bit. There are not many of us here.

Sorry JohnF, I did not see the quote of the person you were stabbing until I logged out. He is on my ignore list.

It's been ages since I've seen the movie, so I don't recall the score(s) at all, but I'm a sucker for any CD presenting both the used and rejected scores, and Basil rarely disappoints with these kinds of outdoor adventire films.

Same here, the theme is to close to Conti's for comfort.

So does Batman and Sylvester Stallone team up to bring down Eric Roberts' gold empire in this version of White Fang?

People on this board called it, but I couldn't get my hopes up. I have wanted Basils score for this for a long time. Thanks Intrada and Disney.

It shares a few notes but otherwise there's no comparison.

Wonderful to have the Poledouris score. Ordered immediately.
I do hope that on the site's excellent cover thread, someone can post a nicely-retouched cover in high resolution for the new CD, with Zimmer's name removed.

Okay, that's just being rude. Whatever you might think about Zimmer, he did write music for the film and they did include some of it in the film - also, as Simon Underwood told me in another thread when I complained about a (hypothetical) release there's such a thing as a skip button... or Liquid Paper.
