Elfman's non-film music (Serenada Schizophrana and Iris) has been incredibly impressive, and another release in that vein would be great. BACK TO SCHOOL (the film tracks), SUMMER SCHOOL, HOT TO TROT (a greatly underrated gem! It's more like a sequel score to PW'S BIG ADVENTURE than BIG TOP PW is!) and I wouldn't mind paying for a "fixed" BEETLEJUICE, where the score is presented chronologically, not arranged into weird suites after the album tracks (I still blame Thor for several of the discs being arranged like this, per his baffling demand that the original album presentations be preserved in Richard Kraft's Elfman Box Request thread... thanks for doing that, and then not even buying the set himself!) None of it needs to have more than that amount of music released. It's Elfman. Elfman is nice in a mediocre kind of way. He's much better than Hanzimmer and his pets, tough. But, come on, there are thousands of unreleased / incomplete scores from the true masters. Last I checked, Elfman is one the most popular of all film composers. Listen to REAL STEEL . It's outstanding how Elfman writes such subtle material for summer blockbusters !
