And I think Enterprise was on a very good way during S3 and 4 but I think the last three episodes were unwatchable (Demons, Terra Prime, These Are the Voyages) IMHO. And I'm a lifelong Trekkie.

Unfortunately Enterprise had the worst Trek finale. They could have done better.

The cancellation of Stargate Universe really was untimely! And I think Enterprise was on a very good way during S3 and 4 but I think the last three episodes were unwatchable (Demons, Terra Prime, These Are the Voyages) IMHO. And I'm a lifelong Trekkie.

Personally I thought Demons and Terra Prime was a stunning two-parter and would have made an excellent Trek feature film. Peter Weller was awesome and it spoke to the very core of what Star Trek is about.

Stargate Universe, on the other hand, was shockingly bad. Only Joels' music kept me watching.

Lousy show, hardly remember the music.

I know what you mean. I made a special point of listening out for the music and even forced myself to sit through two episodes of that lamentable show so I could give Tyler's scoring a fair audition.
Seemed to me the the music and the script and the acting were all of a similar level of accomplishment.

I liked that two-parter and I thought Chattaway's score for "Terra Prime" in particular was one of his best.

The series finale was pretty awful, though.

Other than the transportation stones I thought it was a gripping series that got better as it went along. By the second season the actors really understood their characters and their performances reflected this. One of the best Sci Fi series in the last ten years. Certainly better than anything since.

UPDATE:

Terra Nova 2-CD set will be released in Late September or Early October '2012.[/endquote.

Was there an anouncement somewhere saying that Terra Nova 2 CD set was going to be ?released in late September or early October ? Is it for sure La La Land releasing it ? Brian Tyler is one of two composers who work regularly (or have releases regularly) that I keep up with. I want to make sure I can snag a copy.

Brian Tyler confirmed this himself. he has stated it in an audio interview last month that it would be coming out this month and he also mentioned it in a film score monthly magazine online interview.

I have a question to MV:

I would like to order Terra Nova, and I wonder if autographed copies will be available for this release?

Stargate Universe was just beginning to work when it got cancelled (second season).
Another example - Enterprise. Seasons 3 and 4 were really good!

I have to agree with the folks chatting up Enterprise. Very decent show, season 3 in particular.

smile
