Good. Since that it's already obvious that the CD will be full with suites created by Zimmer, I hope the Deluxe Edition can be much more closer to the music for the movie.

yeah i'm going with the limited edition. definitely. hopefully we don't find out that there's some additional cues that you can only get if you buy the cereal associated with the movie or something

Right, because "Rainman" and "Driving Miss Daisy" sound so similar to "The Da Vinci Code" and "King Arthur".

YOR is talking about all his action scores. They are all the same.

Even YOR could do a score for movies like "Rainam" or "Driving Miss Daisy" and they would be better than Zimmer's!

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, Yor... just because you believe it, doesn't make it true.

Hey, do not use master Goldsmith's photo to attack YOR!

This makes YOR mad!!!

I for one am really happy to see the continuing trend of new releases getting the double-disc treatment. And hopefully the special/deluxe/whatever edition won't be a digipak. Those I hate.
And I'm looking forward to Zimmer's musical identity for Superman. I'm not a Zimmer hater or lover - he can be hit or miss, but I think with the huge pressure of writing a theme for The Man Of Steel (and being in John Williams' shadow) he'll give ol' Supes a great theme.

What's the point of issuing two double-CD versions and naming one of them "Deluxe" just because it has a couple of extra tracks and a different CD case?

Soundtrack labels do this all the time — however they usually wait until the first version is out of print!

Oh, yes, you are right. One must be a truly musical genious to write that "Driving Miss Daisy" theme...

I'm not expecting a big thematic score for this one so unless Zimmer writes amazing themes I'll pass. Still, more music released at the beginning is always good. Saves us from having to buy the same thing twice.

SHERLOCK HOLMES and INCEPTION were both recent action scores and both were tremendous and varied.

There's more in film music than just themes, you know?

NUH-UH! I have to hum the music for it to be good. Film music without themes is bad. That's why Skyfall sucked, don'tchaknow.

Zimmer always does the same thing over and over again.

It is the truth! Maybe they should have hired "The Cat"! I do not know if 2 CDs will be needed either. Couple of tracks will work then just press repeat.

If you don't like Zimmer why don't you avoid threads about his music then?

What you are doing is the true meaning of trolling. It's not appreciated as you aren't even articulating your disdain with anything substantive enough to generate a real conversation piece.

Yor,

I love your posts and I also love how you're commenting on this CD. My reply is NOT sarcastic, I'm being serious here. I do get a good chuckle out of your posts every now and then.
