That newer release is the result of the Intrada CD! They asked to add the Williams track from the OST to Powell’s previous expansion and got permission. The digital release was update to match Intrada’s.
Doesn’t seem to be the case. The 36 track version or the one with the additional track appeared on iTunes on August 4, 2023. Intrada release just came out.
Does anyone actually know what the additional digital track is?
Williams The Adventures Of Han is the additional track. It was added to the digital release before Intrada released the physical copy.
Solo isn’t perfect but I enjoyed it much more than The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker.
Interesting. Was on the iTunes 20 track version, dropped on deluxe 35 track version , added back on the 36 deluxe track version. Star Trek Prodigy did similar wierdness.

It was Intrada's process of licensing the title that made Disney Records aware that the Williams cue probably should have been part of the expansion. So they made the change.
It's a stretch to even call Solo a movie, at least as far as what movies were when the original trilogy came out. Solo is more like a two-parter TV show, lacking any proper structure or finale.
I'm moving to Europe from the US though and this will be released just after I leave so Im rerouting it to my new overseas address. Man, that postage is expensive! Farewell, US media mail, I'll miss you...
Wait for the custom charges.
Yeah, that's the really fun part, eh?
Depends where I get it delivered... sometimes they get through unscathed, but we'll see...
Whoa! A cardboard outer slipcase with the character teaser posters on the back! Nice!
I noticed this from some pics. Very cool. I wish more discs came with slipcases. Hoping this is in stock long enough for me to order next week on payday.
Oh, go on then. I'll ask. What's Sky Pirates got to do with Solo?
Nothing. I was just sharing the mildly amusing coincidence of the goggled hero holding onto a cable for dear life, in the same orientation on both CD artworks.

Oh, I spotted that but thought I missed something else.
Dang, how I love this score. Every little thing about it. More than anyone else who has played in the SW sandbox, Powell managed to honor the past while expanding into a soundscape that is as much fun and as thematically satisfying as that of the Maestro. It makes me wonder how an original JW tune to build on might have influenced the scores of Mando, Andor, or even Rogue One. It’s an interesting counterfactual to imagine.
