Fantastic and very cheering news. I'm happy to suffer a lean month knowing I helped this great project happen. Congratulations to Intrada and a big "Well done" to us!
Yes...there is a bright future for further kickstarters to come I guess.Awesome!!! And I´m happy that THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH is happening. This is a missing link in the Herrmann/Hitchcock ouvre released on CD...
I'm very pleased to see that Intrada achieved its Kickstarter goal for the recording of both Herrmann scores. I apologize if this is a dumb question that everybody but me knows the answer to, but I am curious to know if in addition to the digital tracks Intrada will be releasing a CD of these scores, as was done for BLACK PATCH/THE MAN. I was able to contribute to that one but while I had to hold off this time, I'm still very interested in purchasing the completed recordings.
That was an interesting lesson. I'm surprised they could get all the funds and some more within such a short period of time. Based on some comments here, The Man Who Knew Too Much is for a couple backers the main attraction. Those who not only wanted On Dangerous Ground gave even more money so they could have the Hitchcock score recorded as well. It certainly was the 'last' chance to do this one for a generation who had actually seen the film when it initially came out.
I find it remarkable that there are so few who actually chose to attend the sessions in person. Aren't there at least a few more Brits who would have taken the chance to be there?

Agreed, that's one of the coolest aspects of this campaign.

Do you mean "be there" in person, or virtually? Because the in person thing is, well... COVID?

Be there in person. Not just virtually attending the sessions. ...yes, I know. But the Brits at least could more easily show up there in case of renewed travel restrictions for international tourists. To hear this music recorded live in a studio during your lifetime. It's super rare.

Covid???? I think it’s time to move on. Covid will always be with us but we can’t live in fear.

For the past few weeks I've been surrounded by thousands upon thousands of people packed into a convention center from over 100 countries. I don't think a few people attending a recording session is an issue.

I live in London. I was tempted to attend the sessions but Covid risks means I'm reducing travel. Also we may have rail strikes around the time of the sessions and flights are regularly being cancelled.

Exactly. I do wish people would stop thinking of COVID as a death sentence. I've just had COVID after returning from Paris. After a few days of not feeling well I'm fine. It's no big deal; assuming one is fully vaccinated.
