Given that the new Dune movie is being released in a couple of months, and the Blu-ray from Arrow is also coming up, is there any possibility we'll see the score for the 1984 Dune movie by Toto?

It's a Holy Grail to see this release given it's due.

If I recall, this is a difficult title due to the rights involving the band Toto and it would be up to them to license their music or not to another label.

Hasn't DUNE already been expanded?
I've got an edition (Perseverance) that runs around 70 minutes (it was a fixed 2nd edition after some glitches on the first issue).

I think you mean PEG, not Perseverance:

I have the fixed 2nd edition too, and enjoy it. But surely now two decades later there's room for a new (and possibly even better) edition...

I had no idea Perseverence ever produced it. I know the OST album, and I did have the PEG version (maybe 1st 1997 pressing, the 2001 reissue corrected some of the audio flaws).

Maybe it was a Promo that never saw release?

Sorry, not Perseverance. Bad memory.
PEG it was...and very good it is too.

Any news on that last STAR TREK TV show box set?
In september we celebrate the 55th anniversary of STAR TREK....that would be a perfect time for releasing that one wink

Considering it's the 20th anniversary of the first film in the series, any chance of BT's score for The Fast and the Furious?

Much rather David Arnold's Part 2 score.

Much rather David Arnold's Part 2 score.

2 Fast 2 Furious should've come out in 2003 when the film was released and it should be released now! Easily one of the best non Brian Tyler series scores.

BT's score is a nice effort but the scores got better as the Fast series had gone along with Brian Tyler taking over the scoring duties and Tyler also contributed to the first film with some additional music along side Brian Transeau's.

Since nobody's asking,

MV,
regarding the Star Trek II remaster about to come out, are we getting new material with this edition?
Could you give us some info about this new release?

MV,

You're probably going to think WHAT!, nevertheless, I shall still ask.

As we are on the eve of September, with only two whole months until November, have most of the Black Friday titles been penciled in? Cannot comment upon others on this board, Black Friday announcements and the build up are always the highlight of the year for me.

As always thank you to you and all at LLL for the great work throughout the year, especially in these challenging times.
