Well, that was certainly worth the $15.00/hr at the CD plant.

How does it feel, as soundtrack collectors, knowing that my hands are going to be all over your Conan traycards? My stomach is turning as we speak.

It's a given he'll have sore fingertips after that. I wonder how many units they got. And how they're going to re-shrinkwrap all those. Yikes!

In case it wasn't clear my earlier comment was in jest. I have found fingerprints before though not necessarily on film score CDs. So it seems at least some of the process is done by hand.

I'm glad I already have my copy because I would not buy one of these copies with fingerprints and DNA. He could have worn surgical gloves and avoided fingerprints. Instead he jokes. Additionally, bending the spine in opposite directions like that weakens it. Do ya think plant workers wore surgical gloves on your copy? No, I think they don't do such things by hand. I've never found a fingerprint on a CD case, tray or insert when opening a new CD. I did find fingerprints and scratches on Quartet's "Terms of Endearment". Because (as it turns out) they were opened (by hand) and CD 1 was replaced. Quartet says the "wrong take" was used for CD1, track 1. I'd rather have a "wrong take" (which I never would have been aware of) rather than (for some reason) scratches on BOTH discs. BTW, I've never been to a CD manufacturing plant, but I assume machinery does such things, given the lack of fingerprints. When (in that video) the guy turning over the inserts and switching the positions of the trays was clearly leaving fingerprints. He SAID that was going to be the result, so I don't know how that point can be in dispute. I dunno. I assume printing paper, cases and CD's need to be loaded by hand. Maybe they do wear gloves. But unless you leave the CD's sealed you're gonna get finger prints (and DNA) on them, and you're exposed to a million germs every day. Unless you're a bubble boy.

I was sitting at home, basking once again in the glory that is Poledouris' Conan the Barbarian, when suddenly, a thought popped into my head: "What the hell happened to the release of Destroyer by Intrada?!" It was mentioned to be in the works over 8 years ago. 8 years ago. So I'll say again, "What the hell happened to the release of Destroyer?!" Has anything been said by Intrada recently? I just wanted to get this off of my chest [Edit]: I've emailed them directly to find out the latest. It never hurts to ask, right?

I was in my 30s when it was first ‘announced’. I’m now 46! Holy smoke! Time sure flies. Coincidentally, I have aged several years since myself.
