I would guess that one of the labels is trying to re-release Ghostbusters but it's a complex matter. Maybe they're trying to add content that wasn't on the Varese release and it makes it more difficult?
As for Ghostbusters II, this is just speculation on my part, but it was originally released on MCA, and MCA titles seem to take an inordinately long time to sort out. Young Sherlock Holmes, Silent Running and BHC leap to mind.
And the 2016 Ghostbusters film may have caused an issue as well.
The labels will surely be trying to release both titles and the fact that they haven't come forward and said 'not possible' is a good sign.

Initially we were going to do GB2, then in his excitement Mr Edelman spoke with a top exec at Sony who put the kibosh on LLL doing the project stating all things GB should be kept in house. Things might be different now. We'll see.

Thank you. I was hoping enough time had passed to clarify what happened. Now at least, I have hope that Ghostbusters 2 may be released in the future.
Great your taking the time for the fans here. Just wanted to ask about a few titles that often pop up. Any chances of LOOKER or Stanley Myers THE WITCHES or DREAMCHILD? Also as you did Komeda's ROSEMARYS BABY any chance at all of THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS? And im not going to mention....ahhh!!...i can't not ....HIGHLANDER? Thanks :-)
