Watched View to a Kill recently. Fair amount of music missing from the album. Some great cues including the equestrian music, variations of the love theme and lots of action and suspense cues. I think it's the second best Barry Bond score of the 80s. Daylights is my favourite of his 80s Bond. In terms of missing music A View to a Kill has a lot of great tracks missing. As the sound is also poor on the released albums it is one among those I want expanded and remastered the most (and Licence To Kill). Dan totally agree A View To A Kill does need an expanded score from LLL Records as there are so many great cues missing. Bond Scores who regularly puts posts on here has produced a complete list of cues for A View To A Kill see below. A VIEW TO A KILL - (1985) Complete List of Cues Composer: John Barry 01 Gun Barrel* (0.25) 02 Snow Job 03 Gidea Park ‘California Girls’ (0.41) 04 Snow Job Continued & Helicopter Crash* (0.44) 05 Five Days To Alaska* (1.12) 06 A View To A Kill (Main Title) (3.20) 07 Microchips* (0.51) 08 Pegasus Wins - To Paris* (0.32) 09 Eiffel Tower Restaurant Source* (0.36) 10 Butterfly Act* (1.11) 11 May Day Jumps 12 Wedding Boat Source (A View To A Kill - Dixieland Version)* (0.30) 13 May Day Escapes With Zorin* (0.24) 14 Bond Arrives At The Chateau* (0.27) 15 Pegasus Disappears* (0.36) 16 Another Wealthy Owner* (0.36) 17 Bond Meets Stacey 18 Pegasus’ Stable 19 A Night With May Day* (1.19) 20 Tibbett Gets Washed Out 21 Horse Chase* (0.54) 22 Bond Escapes Roller 23 Physiological Freak* (0.25) 24 Project Main Strike* (0.18) 25 Dropping Out* (0.17) 26 What A View…To A Kill* (0.25) 27 Bond Underwater 28 May Day Discovers The KGB Agent* (1.20) 29 Jacuzzi Source* (1.34) 30 Tailing Stacey* (0.42) 31 Fight At Stacey’s House* (2.03) 32 Wine With Stacey 33 Unusual Earthquake Epicentre* (0.23) 34 Fanfare* (1.03) 35 He’s Dangerous 36 Destroy Silicon Valley 37 May Day Hot On The Heels* (1.16) 38 Stacey’s Lucky Escape* (0.26) 39 Airship To Silicon Valley 40 May Day Bombs Out 41 Stacey Picked Up By The Airship* (0.24) 42 Approaching The Golden Gate Bridge* (0.46) 43 Stacey Attacks (0.10) 44 Golden Gate Fight 45 Cleaning Up A Few Details* (1.22) 46 A View To A Kill (End Title) BONUS 47 A View To A Kill (Music Video Version) 48 A View To A Kill (12” Remix) 49 Bond Meets Stacey (Alternate Version) 50 Pegasus’ Stable (Extended Version) 51 Stacey Attacks (Extended Version) 52 Golden Gate Fight (Extended Version) 53 Chuck Lee Car Radio Source* (0.20) 54 Vivaldi ‘The Four Seasons - Spring’ 55 Vivaldi ‘The Four Seasons - Autumn’ 56 Tchaikovsky ‘Swan Lake, Op. 20’ *22 minutes approx. unreleased music Notes: As per many of the OSTs, quite a few of the musical ’scene setters’ are missing, such as Bond’s arrival in Paris and the beautiful cue when Bond arrives at the Chateau with Tibbett. There’s a cue which is very reminiscent of the strings in the main theme of OHMSS as the helicopter explodes in the pre-title sequence, but it is barely audible because of the SFX. Other notable missing cues include the saxophone-driven and french horn/strings version of AVTAK when Bond seduces May Day and Stacey in the shower respectively, the fight at Stacey’s house (which is a variation on the ‘Snow Job’ main action theme but with the inclusion of the James Bond theme) and variations on the ‘Project Main Strike’ theme.

I'm guessing a lot of those short cues would have to be combined. Even though they are short, the music is of high quality. no they wont - no combination here -

the ficht at staceys house does not include the james bond theme i would say - it includes a nod to thunderball's chateau FIGHT (which is the real title) and that thunderball cue may have contained som bond themes element - but here it is clealy a nod to the thunderball cue

I'm guessing a lot of those short cues would have to be combined. Even though they are short, the music is of high quality. no they wont - no combination here - Some cues are too short, they would have to be combined to make a better listening experience. I agree cues would have to be combined to make a better listening experience & I sure LLL Records would do a fantastic job as always I really hope we see more expanded scores this year from LLL records because if they release via anniversary dates they might follow the below schedule, if not it would be great if they just released all of the Bond scores like they did in 2003 but obviously fully expanded & in chronological score order with all the missing music cues & Original album with extras like Live & Let Die & Octopussy this year. Top of my list are all of the John Barry Bond scores but most wanted expansions are Moonraker , Thunderball & OHMSS 2024: 1. Goldfinger (60th) 2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (55th) 3. The Man With The Golden Gun (50th) 4. Moonraker (45th) 5. License To Kill (35th) 2025: 1. Thunderball (60th) 2. A View To A Kill (40th) 3. GoldenEye (30th) 4. Spectre (10th) 2026: 1. Diamonds Are Forever (55th) 2. For Your Eyes Only (45th) 3. Casino Royale (20th) 4. No Time To Die (5th) 2027: 1. Dr. No (65th) 2. You Only Live Twice (60th) 3. The Spy Who Loved Me (50th) 4. The Living Daylights (40th) 5. Skyfall (15th) 2028: 1. From Russia With Love (65th) 2. Quantum of Solace (20th)

TSWLM has bits and pieces of music not used in the film so I wouldn't be surprised if there is more than 40 minutes. The performances in the film (and on album) of the Bee Gees influenced cues differ from what Hamlisch originally wrote. It's not clear if these were recorded and revised or revised prior to the recording. There are no written revisions for these cues so it leads me to believe changes were made on the stage. Parts of the score appear to have been created editorially. The Ski Chase looks like music written and unused for later scenes in the film. Hamlisch wrote several variations of the Bond theme that went unused. They aren't particularly interesting. Some of the cues are longer than what was used in the film. 10M1 Bond on Globe goes on for a few more measures. 7M3 Car Chase Part 1, 7M4 Car Chase Part 2, 7M5 Car Chase Conclusion, and 8M2 Underwater Chase Sequence are longer as written. 5M2 The "We All Make Mistakes" March, the broken down van cue, has more musc than was used and it doesn't appear that Hamlisch is the composer of this cue. Many of the synth parts aren't written in the score at all or are totally different in the film recording. Some were improvised later by the keyboard player so there may be recordings with different instrumentation. There are lots of parts scribbled out or marked with pen in the hand of Richard Hazard, the orchestrator. It's kind of a messy score on paper. There are no timings or tempi written. It looks like Hamlisch recorded them wild. I've just stumbled across this really interesting info on TSWLM, thanks @neumation. I've never seen any slate numbers or official cue titles before, other than what's listed in Jon Burlingame's book. I'm trying to pull together a complete cue list for the film - do you have any other info you can share with us please? This is what I have so far: 01 Gun Barrel (1M1)* (0.28) 02 Submarine Surfaces* (0.18) 03 Gogol In Moscow* (0.44) 04 Skidoo* (2.00) 05 Union Jack Parachute* (0.15) 06 Nobody Does It Better (Main Title)* (2.46) 07 Briefing Anya* (0.46) 08 Bond In Cairo* (0.19) 09 The Pyramids (Film Version)* (2.21) 10 Fekkesh’s Grisly End* (0.47) 11 Conclusion 12 Mojave Club 13 Eastern Lights 14 Kalba’s Grisly End (0.34) 15 Eastern Lights Ending (Film Version)* (0.20) 16 Arrival At The Ruins* (0.45) 17 Pow* (1.17) 18 Egyptian Builders* (0.23) 19 We All Make Mistakes March (5M2)* (0.32) 20 Theme From Lawrence Of Arabia / Examining The Microchip* (1.39) 21 Boat To Cairo & Dodgy Cigarette* (1.48) 22 Bond Walkabout* (0.43) 23 Gogol In Egypt* (0.20) 24 Bond Seduces Anya & Ferry Arrival* (1.05) 25 Ride To Atlantis (Film Version)* (0.39) 26 Car Chase Part 1 (7M3)* (0.25) 27 Car Chase Part 2 (7M4)* (0.36) 28 Car Chase Conclusion (7M5)* (0.35) 29 Lotus Goes Underwater* (0.33) 30 Lotus Explores The Sea* (1.07) 31 Underwater Chase (8M2)* (1.31) 32 Lotus Emerges From The Sea* (1.02) 33 The Tanker (Film Version)* (1.26) 34 Submarine Launches* (1.05) 35 HMS Ranger Crew Released* (0.20) 36 Reaching The Armoury* (0.28) 37 Impregnable Control Centre* (0.39) 38 Removing The Detonator* (0.37) 39 James On Globe (10M4)* (0.45) 40 Entering The Control Centre* (0.43) 41 New Target For Submarines* (1.16) 42 The Liparus Sinks* (1.20) 43 Bond’s Bike (11M3)* (1.15) 44 Jaws Vs.
