Nothing more than 100.00 and no for comic titles. Done for those for now. Maybe 2018

So its sounds like no The Adventures of Batman & Robin until 2018, then...

BTAS has alternated years since Vol. 2, so it's not surprising. As long as it arrives. smile

Sorry to hear that The Adventures of Batman and Robin won't be released this year. MV, is there hope for this release and Sub-Zero to come out in 2018?

Why can't full commando be an option?

Because they already released Commando.

What are the chances of a re-release of the Thunderbirds Are Go/Thunderbird 6 cd? I'm sure I'm not the only one to let an essential purchase slip by even though they're clearly marked LIMITED EDITION! I was stunned when I found out it was sold out and looking on Amazon seeing someone wanting in excess of £100.

But I guess that's life!

Paul,

There's a copy on EBay.

Some cheaper ones on Amazon.com too.

Ordered! Thanks guys. Got one at the original LLL price. I knew there were good reasons for coming on this forum.

MV, HEAT (1995) is it possible? Complete score and some songs?

This got a "Probably not" earlier in the thread among some other WB titles. Too much bad blood there, I think.

Guess we should praise ourselves lucky that Batman Forever did get the expanded treatment.

I do wonder why that one did manage to get a release and the other Goldenthal/WB titles are problematic.

The $19.99 copy on Amazon.com? Well it's gone, so I assume it was that one. A good deal!

How much was shipping to the UK, out of curiosity?

Bad blood? What happened?

I have a question for MV (although I think I know the answer already) - are there any plans for/any chance of any expanded James Bond scores at all? The 2003 releases were stellar, but we know there's room for improvement over a decade later in terms of sequencing and extra material. And, of course, we've had a bunch of new films since then. Is this something that is even possible to release?

Thank you in advance.

Bad blood? What happened?

The score for "300" plagiarized Goldenthal's "Titus." Goldenthal pressed the matter. Warner Bros. eventually announced they'd "amicably resolved" the issue, but they were not happy about it.

It is my understanding that "Batman Forever" was releasable, whereas "Batman & Robin" is not, because Atlantic Records owned the soundtrack rights to the former while the latter has never been released at all and therefore the rights remain held by Warner Bros. Pictures (as opposed to Warner Bros. Records, which is no longer in any way related to the studio of the same name). Given that, I'm not really sure why other Warner Bros. pictures that had soundtrack releases couldn't be similarly expanded, but then each contract is different.

Talked to Trevor Jones at the Fans of Film Music - he has been a performed considered gentleman. He was great about what had been released and indicated a much wider release of Merlin as I got a bit excited about Merlin.

Yes, 't was I. The shipping looked about the same as the prices quoted at the LLL site, about $15. So it would have cost me just short of £30 quid either way. I was just glad to secure it, considering all the other prices and increasing rarity. £122 at Amazon UK!

Can't remember for the life of me why I didn't order it straight away when it was released, considering I got the BD of the films from SAE and, and joined Fanderson two Christmases ago to get some of their stuff.

But once again, thanks to you and johnjohnson for the help. It all worked out nicely in the end.

You are welcome!

You probably didn't order it because you were ordering other stuff. Been there myself!

$15 to ship a CD internationally is daylight robbery in my opinion. Maybe someone should appeal to the new president to force USPS to cut shipping costs because it's hurting small companies who can't afford the loss in custom. Not that Amazon is one of those.

In my dreams, anyway!

Excuse me, you mean an expanded Merlin edition could be about to be released, that's it?
I guess it's possible Varèse extands this one.
They released the already-great album in 1998 and it may be part of their catalogue of titles they own in perpetuity...

I assume they didn't get the Merlin tapes from Mr Jones then, if he is reticent to allow labels to release his material.

Aside from maybe arranging the score in chronological order, is there a lot of music missing from the Varese album, which I agree is excellent? However, if there is a decent amount of music missing, I wouldn't mind an expanded Merlin as that's probably my favorite of Mr. Jones' repertoire.

Hi MV,
Appreciate the fact that you answer all the questions!
Have you tried releasing Marc Shaiman's SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER AND UNCUT?
Thanks

It was a 3 hours mini-series so I guess there's more music than what is on the CD. I watched for it in the late 90's but I can't remember the amount of music, sorry. The CD is a favorite of mine, such a great score!

Off the top of my head... There are some great variations of Jones' "Arthur Theme" missing on the album. I always wanted to have Arthur's return to Camelot. A great peace of music!

Yup! There is also the joust sequence, which is a reprise of the "battle theme" with a medieval-styled flute on top of it : https://youtu.be/UpAcztfmZUY?t=2h7m23s
