Well, with 64 hours to go, just another 6500 dollars remain. Getting close. Wow. Two more backers since three hours ago, but a $10,000 jump! If you can't figure this out, well... Someone has learned trick one with Kickstarter. And that someone is no one here. Pretty easy. And now it will miraculously fund. Good for them. Why don't you enlighten us? Why? Figure it out - it's not brain surgery. I'm glad it got figured out and I'm glad they will now fund. It's all good.

Seems to have been some censoring of comments on the Intrada board's thread concerning this Kickstarter campaign. Anyone else been following? Graham I haven't been over there in ages. What kind of censoring.

Whoa! I was telling everyone “it’s not over til it’s over” and all, and I knew that pledges would pick up in the last few days like they always do...but I had no IDEA it would leap up this quickly, with more than one big contribution. Wonder who it was...would be totally neat if Mauceri chipped in; he’s a pretty cool guy. Like Schiffy, I was feeling strangely disappointed about the prospect of this not being successful (maybe just feeling bad for those who so clearly wanted it but might not have gotten it), even though I had little interest in the choice myself, and even had those recent comments from Doug saying they’d try Kickstarter again with different score choice(s) if this wasn’t successful. So in the end, I’m very happy for those here who really wanted a full recording of this score. And I can’t wait to see what the next one they choose is. Yavar

In about nine hours the "48 hours remaining" reminder emails will go out to everyone who followed the project without backing. Every Kickstarter gets a boost from that, it's just a matter of getting close enough that that boost carries the project over the finish line; it's surely close enough now and will be funded. Cheers for Intrada.

Poor choice for a first recording- the orchestra chosen is not the best as evidenced by the "Spellbound" recording. I will support it, but $45.000 to record this 2nd rate Tiomkin effort is a bit ludicrous. I too wish they had selected a more requested score. Something BIG like JOAN OF ARC or a complete SAHARA. They did not, but I will contribute to keep new Intrada recordings of golden age scores from disappearing. I hope others will do the same. Perhaps Dimitri Tiomkin's daughter,Olivia, will help fund this project also. Best wishes Intrada. Even though Olivia was young enough to be his daughter, she was actually his second wife. Tiomkin had no children. He met Olivia in England where he moved after his wile, ballet dancer Albertina Rasch, died. Olivia Tiomkin must know about it because it's posted on Dimitri's official website, which is run by Volta Music, his own music publishing company. She must be owner now.

Hoping that this is going to happen and the future will look brighter for us golden age people.Hoping too that Intrada will now take notice of how the film-music fans feel when it comes to choice of title of future recordings. One suggestion is to add John Wilson to the conductor rota,he has a great feel for film-music.
