Well, you are now talking for nothing because there are no music to put on cds, everything from GERRY ANDERSON is done !

Indeed! But at any rate, I don't see why Fanderson should reduce their fees for some moochers who refuse to pay the full amount? Why should members in good standing, sometimes for several decades, accept that the same few bellyachers be given a free pass?

If that's aimed at me, Bob, and others who simply want to opt out (which IS an option) of the FAB zine and therefore not be liable for postage of said 'zine, it's not called mooching. It's called not wanting to get ripped off by paying for something you're not getting.

Nah. You just want special treatment.

If you're going to be obnoxious, then you just want everyone to suffer your mistakes because you never thought about opting out.

Obnoxious?

It never occurred to me to me to opt out, because I'm not a parasitic mooch like you. But by all means, please continue to moan and groan if that fulfills you.

Good day Sir.

Well, you are now talking for nothing because there are no music to put on cds, everything from GERRY ANDERSON is done !

What do you mean … everything is done ?

There are a vew more soundtracks for FANDERSON to release on CD!

For example: Cripin Marrell's scores for SPACE PRECINCT and LAVENDER CASTLE.
Or Derek Wadsworth's score for THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, Barry Grey's scores for CROSSROADS TO CRIME / TORCHY THE BATTERY BOY / THE ADVENBTURES OF TWIZZEL.
The last remaining Barry scores may not be a priority for most fans away from the FANDERSON community.
But this was certainly also true for FOUR FEATHER FALLS …
This, however, did not prevent FANDERSON from release the music of FOUR FEATHER FALLS on CD for the (few) fans of this old series.
Ask the fans of John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, John Barry, etc., whether they are insteressiert at the ancient scores, from the early days of these composers... Some fans just want everything!

And finally not to forget the 50th anniversary of UFO !
Both of the previous 2CD sets contains music which does not contain the other 2CD set.
If you wanted to release the entire music together, a 3CD set is inevitable!
And it may be that there are other unreleased tracks of UFO (alternates, demos, etc.) that were not released in the previous 2CD sets for space reasons.

So I think the soundtrack release history of FANDERSON is not yet complete!

Thanks for the info. I finally managed to obtain the 2007 edition of UFO, but I'd definitely be down for a 50th anniversary set... and the chance to gladly pay the full membership fee again (because of the stellar work Fanderson has done over the decades).

I JUST paid $ 40,00 for this cd and i almost became a member for nothing because my subscription ended last week. I became a member for this cd and they told me that it should be out inside 1 year . But i have no confirmation that its shipped !

They don't send shipping confirmations as far as I remember.

Also note on the Sales Page the following:

"Please allow 28 days for delivery - Fanderson is a non for profit organisation staffed by volunteers - we are not Amazon"

What on earth is wrong with people on this board?

The Day After Tomorrow (aka Into Infinity) is missing presumed lost anyway so unless something changes, I wouldn't expect that any time soon - if ever.

(Should I add an exclamation mark or two here for dramatic effect?)

This is a companion piece to Space: 1999 Year 2.

It sure is, and I'd love to have it, but it doesn't seem as though it'll ever happen if the tapes are gone. And I suspect that even if it did, it would come from Anderson Entertainment rather than Fanderson anyway.

I have always agreed with all the FANDERSON rules. It was okay for me as it is a fan club
and not a purely commercial company.
Whatever they did, it was at all times the best that was possible at that time.
And FANDERSON is just as keen to improve their soundtrack releases as all professional soundtrack labels.
As far as prices are concerned, I can only say that I consider them to be reasonable, if not very favorable!

I will never forget the time before 20, 25, 30 or more years, where one could not see a realistic chance
that the musical dreams of childhood would ever find their way onto a CD.
If someone had asked me in the 80s or 90s, how much would it be worth to have your dream music
in the best quality on CD...?
At that time... I would have simply said ANY PRICE ... I would be able to pay!
1000 and more Dollars for a 15CD set of the complete scores of STAR TREK - THE ORIGINAL SERIES ...
at that time ... YES !!!
1000 and more Dollars for a CD set(or a series of singele CDs) for the complete scores of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA(1978) ...
at that time ... YES !!!
1000 and more Dollars for a CD set with the complete scores of SPACE 1999 YEAR 1 & 2 ...
at that time ... YES !!!
Now if someone thinks this is madness... No - that's just relative or rather subjective!
Music is an emotional thing, so all rational aspects are secondary.
With COLOSSUS - THE FORBIN PROJECT and DOPPELGÄNGER two childhood dreams were true
with both announcements within 24 hours!
I had to wait around 35 years to see, that the soundtracks of the films I saw for the first time on TV
are now finally available in the best quality!
Who would have thought it possible 25 or 30 years ago?
This and all the other magnificent releases from STAR WARS, STAR TREK, JAMES BOND, etc music.
At that time, each fan would have paid every possible price for such a release.
In the context of personal financial possibilities - one more, the other less, but any price he would be able to pay.
And certainly a lot of fans would pay much higher prices than the actual...
People should never forget the past to attach their real value to the things of the present.

And I think in comparison, the real prices for all the releases of all this music today are now really cheap!
Always ... many thanks to LA-LA LAND RECORDS, INTRADA and all the other soundtrack-labels around this planet ..
and of course to FANDERSON!
I look forward to everything that will come in the future.

Don't dish out abuse if you are unable to take it Mr. Child. That's a friendly tip btw.

When I renew, I'm buying 2 copies, you pay me for Doppelganger & shipping, I don't buy other stuff like toys etc, but I do buy lp's cd's.

To be honest leagolfer, I've had trouble understanding much of what you've said further up this thread.

What 'toys' do Fanderson offer, for instance? confused

Okey Dokey, I should've explained clearly earlier..

The Membership doesn't just cover the store cd's merchandise at Fanderson.

There's a convention, full membership takes a % off the price if the fan wishes to attend, they have a large set of products at shows, I've been a couple of times past 6 years i wasn't bothered with the toys Etc.

I went for the shows but not too watch slides, q/a, debates, my main priority was CD/LP signings, i buy 2 copies of each release so why not take full advantage with the membership each year, 3 years last time i attended.

Got a China goes most years still get my signings, could've gone last/this year coming, honestly, the 2nd time round weren't my tea, no disrespect, I'll keep paying full membership, no drama!

Another policy.. Got to be a full member you're not gate crashing this convention...

I see the 4 CD Thunderbirds soundtrack has now sold out.

BUT Fanderson are to release a 3 CD soundtrack of Stingray.

Managed to get the original releases of Space 1999 Season 1 (two discs), and the Supercar/Fireball Xl5 one disc set, through a mate/Fanderson member before I joined Fanderson. Then I joined in two different years to get hold of the full Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Doppleganger soundtracks, plus the later UFO release and the original Stingray. Got the Silva Screen Joe 90.

And that's it for me. Plenty of Barry Gray to keep me going now. Didn't begrudge the membership. The mag is interesting enough to justify the extra expense, though I do sympathise with those with those outside the UK. I'm in the same boat with shipping fees for the multi-disc soundtracks from La La Land (who also came up trumps with the Thunderbirds 60s movies scores).

I look forward to getting a third edition of UFO (3-CD set).
There are missing cues especially from “Ordeal”, the funky party cue when, at the clinic, Colonel Foster has a flash of memory from last night's party.

Listen to the cue at 10:26.

(who also came up trumps with the Thunderbirds 60s movies scores).

Although someone did write in FAB that he wished Fanderson had done them instead of La-La Land (not often said around these parts...)

I prefer LLL, 'cause if I wants any title from them - I can order it any time, without any problem (subscription).
