My copy just shipped! That's good news! Out of curiosity, where did you order it from? It is now 44 days and counting for my order, that I placed on the day pre-orders started, and it still shows "Pending" on my Screen Archives order page. I sent an email awhile back asking for an update, but have yet to receive even a "Too bad" reply. I figure if nothing changes by the end of next week, I'll force a refund and mark them off my list of places to do business with. I've got my order pending from Intrada, which I placed on August 17. They are waiting for restocks just as Screen Archives is. P.S. The first stock was reported to have gone to those who ordered directly from the La La Land They didn't realize the demand would be so high, so did the right thing in shipping to those who went to the source first. Wholesale orders like Intrada, MovieMusic.com and Screen Archives had to wait, understandably. Besides if you cancel now, you will be at the back of the line, since anyone placing a new order today will have to wait till the second restock comes in and that could be another month. It will be worth the wait.

Maybe this is nuts, but I am still enjoying my GNP Crescendo CD of Star Trek The Wrath of Khan It's great music; why would that be nuts? Old releases don't suddenly decay when new ones arrive. I listened to that one for years.

Maybe this is nuts, but I am still enjoying my GNP Crescendo CD of Star Trek The Wrath of Khan I remember greatly appreciating the GNP CD in its day. And when I finally had the brilliant idea to put it in film order, it got even better. But I was all in for the FSM, and now the LLL. Same with the Warner CD of SUPERMAN. It was good, the Rhino was better, and LLL is the last word. OTOH, I never upgraded the MCA CD of JAWS, the one with the LP program, and I still consider it satisfactory.

To my mind the LLLR release is as close to perfect as we can possibly hope for. Prior to this release I would have said that for the FsM release. At this point I consider the book closed on Star Trek II in the best possible way.

I prefer the JAWS OST myself. It flows really well and I prefer the arrangements. I'm more surprised you're happy with the fidelity. We're talking the 1992 CD? It had very low levels and a lot of tape hiss. Even though they didn't use the master tape, which I suspect was lost in the 2008 Universal fire, the Intrada sounds much, much better.

Yes, the sound quality on the Intrada 2-Disc JAWS release is absolutely stunning, especially when compared to ANYTHING that was released under the title of JAWS beforehand. Whether you prefer the original MCA LP recording or the score as heard in the film, either way, you NEED to hear it by way of the Intrada CD edition.
