Does anyone know when the new version will be back in stock at LLL, please? Also, could a moderator change the thread title, so that when I search for "Wrath" or "Khan" this thread appears in the search results! I believe they have it at Intrada.

Fudge no. That set also has the 'Inner workings' track from TMP with a more audible wind machine, the animated series music and the score to Star Trek: Borg, a game I actually played! That set is still a fantastic release even outside the 'Sans Narration' track from The Wrath of Khan's epilogue. Most important to me is that the 50th Anniversary set completes and perfects the TOS Soundtrack Collection box. You get the missing cues from "Miri" and "Spock's Brain." Also, the sound quality is greatly improved on the second and third season library music, which includes some hugely important cues.

What does "Discrete" mean ? I'm sure the answer is in this thread somewhere but it's 24 pages long and hundreds of comments. Some of the extras are labelled: (alternate), (alternate take), and (discrete).

UPDATE: Today I received some bad news from our Manufacturer of Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan. Due to supply issues and Covid regulations that have impacted the pressing plant we will NOT be receiving our next batch of Wrath of Khan discs until Nov 20th or later. Of course should they miraculously arrive earlier we will let you guys know. We will do our best to get more units in before the Holidays, but we are at the mercy of the Manufacturer and a worldwide poopy-storm. And speaking of which, our Black Friday titles are up in the air at this point. We may only have a few titles come out. MV

Given this one a first listen and I honestly don't hear much of a sound improvement. Unlike Glory which I think sounds vastly better than the previous OST. WOK always sounded a bit shrill to me and I think its just the state of the orchestration or masters. Still a fantastic release and this is my go-to version now. It really is the best presentation of the score thus far to one of my favorite scores of all times. Black Friday came early this year with both TWOK and Glory! Just ordered GLORY, very much looking forward to hear it. More room for sound improvement over STII, and it basically contains two recordings of the score.
