MV, any idea when The Lost World will be back in stock?

Asking because of overseas import charges. Sadly, it's simply too expensive in shipping to place too many orders a year, so bundling them is a necessity.
Thanks so much for another INCREDIBLE set of releases! You guys never cease to amaze me
Happy new year!

So if I have this right, with the release of Live and Let Die, Octopussy and Silent Night, the only unreleased LLLR catalog titles from before LLLCD1638 will be:

LLLCD1489 The Adventures of Batman and Robin
LLLCD1606 ??

I wonder what title 1606 is? Just curious -- I'm certainly not expecting a hint or anything -- I am just indicating my interest. I'm intrigued! smile

Give me a break, February will come soon enough with more releases, January is spoken for. Seems some folk have bottomless pockets and never satisfied.

Pretty sure the point is they want to know so they can optimize shipping costs. A very valid reason.

There is a tendency on this board that does grate on me -and must drive MV etc to despair - that when announcements are made, somebody inevitably chirps in with "yeah, but what about..." or "but what I REALLY want is..." or indeed "okay, nice, but what's next?" There's a sense of endless anticipation, instead of just talking about what we already have. In this case, we had bombshell announcement of some Bond releases, and immediately someone asks what else is coming that month.

I know there were possibly legitimate reasons for the question but it just felt...well the sense of entitlement here just grates on me, sorry, and I sympathise with how the guys at the labels must feel sometimes. They are racing to get the big Black Friday titles out in the mail, and drop a surprise announcement out for a Xmas surprise, and get a "yes, but..." query back.

Apologies if I sound a Grinch. I'll go back to my Gorky Park and Sneakers discs now...

At the same time the fact that these companies are so secretive about their upcoming releases fuels that. Most record labels announce their upcoming releases a month or two in advance at least, and many of the ones I follow are pretty small labels mind you, not talking about major labels.

But hell in the video game sphere games are often announced many months in advance. Four to six months for an exact release date isn't abnormal.

You raise a very good point, the way the labels announce projects/ releases does rather encourage that reaction. Is there a reason why they can't reveal what they are working on months in advance, but instead only announce them at the last minute (even to the point of cancelling announcements due to manufacturing delays)?

Why couldn't they announce, say, last Spring that they were working on James Horner's Sneakers for a late 2023 release? Would that spoil the fun of an announcement of 'coming next week ' or does the latter work better regards getting sales?

Would having a longer six-month window of releases end all the speculation or questions though?

I wish things were announced earlier too, but can site two examples as to why they always aren't.

Conan The Destroyer
Nightbreed

Word got out earlier and both were delayed for years and months, respectively. Safer for the labels to wait until it's ready to ship I reckon.

With the surprise releases of Live and Let Die and Octopussy, I have new hope for more Bond scores for 2024.

Here's my wishlist:

Goldfinger 60th anniversary (highly doubtful)

Oh Her Majesty's Secret Service 55th anniversary (also doubtful)

The Man With the Golden Gun 50th anniversary (surely an expansion is possible)

Moonraker 45th anniversary (I've heard this may have been in the works in the past)

License to Kill 35th anniversary (my biggest wish)

Out of that list:

If enough additional material has been found for Goldfinger, then I think they will do it.

Golden Gun, yes, definitely one I'd expect them to do. I like the score.

Moonraker, the most requested Barry Bond score.

LTK. Yep, so much is missing.

OHMSS 2003 is an excellent representation of the score, tbh, not an urgency.

Will they do 4 Bond scores in a year? Only time will tell.

I'm wondering what the non-Bond releases might be. No need for 007 to hog all the oxygen.

The “Class of 2023” pic isn’t showing up on Facebook for me — has it not been posted yet? Maybe it’s there and I just overlooked it…?

Dear MV,

will HARRY POTTER set and THE SWARM become available again? If so, when do you expect their batch?

Thanks in advance!

A big thank you to all the good people at LLL for their efficiency in processing my order and the generous 25% offer. Looking forward to the May announcement!

Will LLL have any more collaborations with Varese in the future? Or was the Planet of the Apes boxset a one-off?
