I believe AdoKrycha007 was refereeing to the actual time when the announcement is made.

Indeed. I don't see a reply above, so it's probably one of those few guys I blocked here because all they can do is insult me all the time. I pity my eyes for such people. But they can keep producing, who cares.

That’s a great Universal wish list, moolik! I’ll raise you:
ARABIAN NIGHTS Skinner (I know this 40s score survives in good sounding acetates)
THE SWORD OF ALI BABA Skinner
BULLET FOR A BADMAN Skinner
SHENANDOAH Skinner (CD premiere, expanded if possible)
A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO DIE Rozsa (expanded)
NO NAME ON THE BULLET H. Stein
THE WAR LORD Moross and Salter (expanded by whatever else survives beyond the short album)
THE KING’S PIRATE Ferraro
RED SKY AT MORNING Goldenberg (film recording premiere + album CD premiere)
THE SECRET WAYS Williams
STORY OF A WOMAN Williams
INDICT AND CONVICT Goldsmith
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN Fox (CD premiere, expanded if possible)

And don't forget a lot of television scoring from Universal!

Well yeah there’s a HUGE list there (starting with Columbo and Wagon Train and Six Million Dollar Man!) but we know those releases take a lot more time and work than standalone movies. But it’s been awhile since that Jack Marshall 2CD TV set now, so maybe it’s possible some TV thing will be ready by Black Friday.

I wish the Quinn Martin Collection line was once or twice monthly (as possible). Still a vast majority of goodness from shows only covered thin slices, like "Cannon" and "Barnaby Jones.

To add to the Universal list I suggest
Arabesque (Mancini)
Lancelot and Guinevere aka Sword of Lancelot (Goodwin)

Any Goodwin is good with me! But I do fear that UK things from the 60s just may not survive.

I don't know that there's any more music from A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO DIE which could be added to the original album, because the album seems to have more music than that which is in the actual film, including an alternative finale, although not identified as such.

It would be interesting to know if the score was recorded in stereo. I suspect not. Intrada released Night Passage recently (1957) and that was mono. If there were any Universal International CinemaScope films released in stereo, I've yet to come across them on DVD or Blu-ray or advertised as such in contemporaneous ads. Joe Caps claimed in an old post that A TIME TO LOVE... had a 4 track stereo release but I've seen no evidence to support that so I'm sceptical.

Will there be Black Friday announcements this year? Or later?

Paraphrasing I think he said they'll be doing something a little different this year. Probably because what will be approved in time is in total flux.
