On this Cody we can agree... but I fear that King of Kings was Mr. Fitzpatrick’s swan song. I hope I’m wrong and that he has more up his sleeve. Yavar

That score is BONKERS! Land of the Pharaohs had a ton of overlays and sweeteners, too. Lukas Sounds like Tiomkin, all right!

As we know "Land of Pharaohs" film will be released on blu ray in next few month by Warner Archive. I wondering if are they any chances for reissue of this epic Tiomkin score? FSM release was long, long time ago so reissue will be really welcomed. Even if mono, itwill be great to have this... For me the best option will be new recording.... something like "Fall of Roman Empire....," but im affraid it will never happen... so maybe original tracks can be reissued? Anybody think if they are any chances for possible reissue? And maybe some miracle can happend and stereo elements can be found?

I managed to get the FSM just before it went out of print. As for a potential reissue, unless Warner decides to start playing ball with the labels (incidentally, what happened with the planned sale of their music library), we may be waiting a while for that. Furthermore, given Warner’s history of throwing out stereo tapes during the 50’s, I think the mono tapes are all there is.
